“Best ice cream I have ever had. Staff were efficient and friendly. They made you feel welcomed. The one young lady talked to us about making the ice cream & about our vacation. We found this gem after visiting the Amish stores. Plenty of flavors to choose from, it seemed to be the place to go for ice cream if you live near by. I would definitely recommend going to eat some yummy ice cream from there if you’re in the area.”

“I cannot recommend Porchlight enough! I have become a frequent flyer— no seriously— twice a dad visits. I love the convenience of their online ordering in the morning and their great cafe space for lunch. There is no wrong answer when it comes to their variety of flavors for your lattes. Truly a skillfully crafted coffee menu along with flavor-packed food options. My absolute favorite menu item is their harvest Cobb salad. I CAN’T GET ENOUGH! Dried cranberries, grilled chicken, feta (I think), walnuts, topped with the to-die-for maple vinaigrette on a bed of lettuce. Seriously, there is NO reason NOT to go to Porchlight. Cheers!”

“I really like their coffee, 🥯 and the people are always really nice. love supporting local but the down side is the drive thru takes a really long time. like if there is 3 cars ahead of you plan about 25 to 30 mins of wait. During the work week I unfortunately cannot go hear because of that I have to drive to another area and get Starbucks. I hope they fix this it is a really nice place.”

“We love Alexandris in Wadsworth and have been going here for many years. The food and service have always been exceptional. Today we had lunch and added on their Chicken Dumpling soup. I want to tell you that it was the best I have ever had. So much so that we took home a half gallon and had it for dinner as well.”

“I will be honest, I haven’t eaten there yet but just had the greatest experience that restored my faith in humanity just a little bit. I was in the Akron area for training with TNVC and I assume my iPad was stolen. Today it pinged at someone’s house and then it pinged in the parking lot of the Basement a few hours after I locked it and left a message for the would be thief. I called and spoke with Stephanie, and after explaining what had happened she was king enough to walk to the parking lot while I pinged it. The thief had dumped my iPad in the dumpster, thankfully not too deep. I just wanted to say that Stephanie was amazing for being such a good person and helping someone with no expectation of receiving anything in return. Next time my family and I are in the Akron/waterloo area I will make sure I patronize The Basement if only to help repay a bit of the kindness shown! This is how a neighborhood restaurant does it!”

“Went today for lunch with my 97 yr old mother…restaurant was super clean (including bathroom) We had burgers which were quite tasty. Sweet potato fries were delish… the star was the coconut cream pie however…a slice of heaven …mom liked so much she even got a wrap to go for her dinner later. Called me later to say how good it was especially house made chips! Well done ! We’ll be back!”

“My niece and I finally checked out Joey’s Kendal Tavern after hearing so many great things, and it did not disappoint. We both had the Deluxe Louisiana Burger. It was perfectly cooked, piled high with cheese, onions, and peppers. The portion was generous, the fries were delicious, and it was more than worth the $13. On top of the great food, our waitress Heather was wonderful, and the owner was very friendly. Overall, a great experience and we’ll definitely be back.”

“The team from Old Carolina Barbecue Company were at our venue again last night and as usual provided stellar service. This was the second time this summer. In June catering was provided by Joseph, Gavin, Chase and Abby, and last night we had Tanner, Shannon, Chase and Abby. Both times they were timely, efficient and professional, and also added extra services like moving things around to serve appetizers outside, cutting and serving multiple cakes and leaving the kitchen spotless! All these things from a venue's perspective are so important. From the guests' perspective, of course, is the question "was the food good?" Yes it was! So good! They received many compliments. Great job guys! Thanks again!”

“If I were to give someone a tour of Massillon, a John George’s Double Trouble sub would be a MUST HAVE!! It is truly the most delicious sub I have ever had. Perfect balance of meats, cheeses, and toppings. Not only that, but this drive-thru is deeply embedded in the community. They give back to the city and its residents. Nearly all the staff have worked here for decades, so they know so many people by name and have heart-to-heart interactions every single day. They also have very unique products, such as a huge selection of fresh baked goods made by the Amish community FROM SCRATCH! This is a true Massillon staple, and we are all so lucky to have a drive-thru like John George’s in our city! Special shoutout to Justin Morales for always bringing a smile to my face every time I see him. I am moving to Texas and will greatly miss John George’s, the staff, and the famous Double Trouble sub.”

Owner and employees are so kind and loving and knowledgeable. they have a super breakfast and lunch menu and pastries including lots of gluten free options!!! “My family has grown up visiting Durbins- ever since my mom was a little girl. I live in Kansas City and viait every time I make a trip to Ohio. Sometimes you love a place for nostalgic reasons- while that is true here, it is also DELICIOUS. I took my husband for the first time and he couldn't stop talking about how yummy his sundae was. Best hot fudge and thankful they sell it in jars so we can take some back home to KC to enjoy. L”
