Afra Grill | African & Somali Cuisine is a welcoming restaurant known for its flavorful and satisfying dishes. Visitors can build their own plates by choosing from a variety of bases, proteins, sides, and sauces, making it easy to customize meals to personal tastes. The menu offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, with popular items like the spicy peanut chicken meal and chicken wrap. The jollof rice is highly praised, often described as the best ever, full of flavor and better than many other versions tried. The non-vegetarian dishes, including chicken, goat, and oxtail, are well-seasoned and satisfying, although some are a bit oilier. Sides like plantains and Adana noodles are appreciated for their natural sweetness, balancing heavier dishes nicely. Meals come in generous portions that feel satisfying and memorable. The restaurant also features a variety of sauces, from mild to very hot, encouraging guests to be adventurous and try new flavors. The staff are friendly and welcoming, with some offering complimentary drinks like mango or masala milk tea, adding a warm touch to the experience. Many visitors find the food to be amazing and feel it’s worth traveling a long distance, often driving 30 minutes or more just to enjoy the authentic cuisine. Overall, Afra Grill offers a clean, cozy atmosphere and a delicious introduction to African and Somali dishes, making it a favorite spot for first-time explorers and regular diners alike.
