“After a long day at the Columbus Convention Center, I was just looking for a comfortable place to grab dinner. At first, I set out for a sushi bar, thinking it would be an easy option for dining alone, but the freezing temperatures quickly changed my mind. The rich, inviting aroma of Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse pulled me in, and I decided to treat myself. From the moment I stepped inside, I felt transported. The elegant, vintage-style décor, the perfectly choreographed service, and the hum of happy diners created an atmosphere that felt both upscale and welcoming. The staff was polished yet warm, attentive without being intrusive. I watched as garnished cocktails in beautiful cut glass were whisked to tables and crumbs were quietly swept away between courses. I ordered a pork chop cooked to perfection, with a side of rich Creamed Spinach. Every bite was indulgent. Then came an unexpected treat—a custom Louis Vuitton or the Ruby Vuitton purse cake delivered to a nearby table like a grand reveal in a smoke filled glass presentation box marked with the signature LV. The server caught my eye, winked, and I couldn’t help but smile at the showmanship. Jeff Ruby’s isn’t just about great food—it’s about the experience. From the service to the presentation, everything felt special. Dining alone can sometimes feel awkward, but here, I felt i was part of an Immersive dining experience. “We dined here for our 6 year anniversary dinner and could not have been happier with our choice. We were seated 15 minutes early for our 7pm reservation, and promptly given water. Our server Chandler was great. He took the time to explain the menu, specials and make recommendations for drinks. Throughout the evening he was very attentive and available, at the end of our meal he even boxed my leftovers and gave us a free dessert! I was more than impressed with the food. The rolls were soft and pillowy on the inside, but had a wonderfully crisp crust with just the right amount of salt. The tavern salad was truly refreshing too. The greens were crisp and fresh, the slightly sweet vinaigrette was perfectly mixed and the gorgonzola cheese was a fantastic compliment to it all. The beef stroganoff was absolutely divine. The sauce was one of the best I have ever had! The noodles were perfectly cooked and thick, there was plenty of tender beef and a generous amount of mushrooms. I came hungry and could only eat half of it too! I would order this over and over again! My fiancé ordered the porterhouse with asparagus and a side of scallops. He raved about the scallops all night! He said they were the best he has had, even better than a seafood restaurants'. He enjoyed his steak as well, which was cooked just to his liking and seasoned nicely. He almost started chewing the bone to get the last bits of meat off! He said the asparagus had a light lemon and salt flavor. To finish the meal we chose the crème brûlée. The crust was thick, the custard rich and the whole thing quite addictive. I would order it again for sure. Our meal, which had 2 cocktails too, came out to under $200 even with a 25% tip. We think it was certainty worth the price for the attentiveness of the staff and quality and flavors of the food we received. We are looking forward to coming back!“

“Went for my birthday & Omg the best steak I have had in a long time! Everything is cooked on an open flame which made all the meat taste so good. Starters were good as well. Oh, let me not forget the lobster fondue salmon so good! They gave me a birthday dessert which was cheesecake with a creme brulee sugar topping. Going back soon!“

“This restaurant was busy! Shout out to the Manager for running a smooth operation! We had a party of 8 people. Our waitress didn’t miss a beat. Everyone’s food was served simultaneously and piping hot.

I had the Redrock shrimp with rice. It was delicious and the shrimp was cooked perfectly.

I am not from Ohio, but would visit again if the opportunity presents itself.

“Our bartender & server Justin was awesome. Fast, friendly & everything was served as ordered. This was our first time at this location. We had dinner at the bar. We ordered the ribeye Pittsburgh style medium rare blackened. It was cooked perfect. Best blackened steak ever. Their chief knows what they are doing. Fresh salad, everything was perfect. We eat at Outback, Firebird Grill, BJ's but this chief's cooking blew them away. We will definitely be back. Thank you!!“

“Bethany was totally on point. Everything was timed perfectly. No rush. Everything was fantastic. It’s 2025 and prices were in line with service and atmosphere. The exception was the lobster tail. A bit pricey even in today’s market. On the other hand the cocktails had generous portions and were quite reasonable. The escargot was really tasty. Not smothered in so much garlic you couldn’t taste the dish. Prime rib done to perfection. Scallops again done right.“

“I always have great experience here sometimes if a mistake is made they are quick to fix it I like I ordered a couple of meals for example I ordered a boneless ribeye with mashed potatoes and a salad and I ordered their Bloomin Onion for an appetizer then I ordered a salad and a separate baked potato for me with sour cream chives butter and cheese and when I got home I only received the baked potato and there was no sour cream butter cheese and chives and I called them and they asked me to come back and I came back they gave me another baked potato with all the sides and they also gave me a blooming onion free as well for it all the workers are very kind and polite and the manager is very kind and polite as well they always make you feel at home there. At least with all my experiences there, I wish I had taken pictures of the food. Show maybe next time with one of my next posts. Like I said, this place is really good.
