Somewhat disappointed with the meal. The lettuce in the salad was turning brown and the rolls were rather dry. The shrimp in the shrimp scampi were large, but nothing really special about the preparation. The accompanying broccoli was too crunchy for my taste. On the plus side, the service was very good.
This place makes the gold standard best crabcake away from a coast. If it was ONLY crabcake, I would give it five stars. My dining companions have also enjoyed their meals. The cheesecake or key lime pie is a perfect little treat to share at the end of the meal. What else can I say? I haven't ordered anything but crabcakes since my long search for perfection has finally come true. Take a person who loves seafood. From fried sandwiches to fancy steaks, I've heard this...
The old-style charm of the bar and dining area enhances the experience, but the food, drink, and service were mediocre. Seems to be a welcoming space for regulars, but after a few visits, it's not likely I'll become one.
