“We stopped on our way to Youngstown today after Googling to find a coffee shop. The cold brew coffee I got was literally the best cold brew coffee I have EVER had! I ordered pretty much what I normally do everywhere else (vanilla cold brew, half & half, espresso, and cold foam) and it was amazing! Not sure what magic you are doing back there but keep it up!! make a stop at The WhistleStop. This cozy little spot is the kind of place you almost don’t want to share because it’s that good… but food this delicious deserves to be celebrated!

I started with the fried green tomatoes, and let me just say — wow. Perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. They were seasoned just right, and the dipping sauce that came with them took it to another level. Easily some of the best I’ve ever had, and an absolute must-try.

For my main dish, I had the hamburger salad, and it was just as impressive. It came out fresh, loaded with toppings, and had that perfect balance of juicy beef and crisp greens. It was hearty without being too heavy, and I loved every bite. It’s a great option if you’re looking for something a little lighter but still packed with flavor.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere at The Whistle Stop is just as inviting. There’s a friendly, small-town charm that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind and you can tell they take pride in what they do and care about their customers.

This place is the definition of a hidden gem — unassuming from the outside, unforgettable once you’ve been. I’ll absolutely be back, and I’ll be recommending it to anyone I know heading through Galion. Whether you're a local or just visiting, The Whistle Stop is a must-stop!”

“I know it is hard working on Christmas but when you make reservations you expect to be seated at your reservation time. When bringing up my party had waited over 20mins over our reservation time, and seeing another party who had just come in be seated, I was told by the hostess with an attitude that they couldn't keep up with times and which party should be seated before the other! When being seated we waited over an hour for food, steak was over cooked, lobsters and baked potatoes cold and seafood boil too spicy. When we told the waitress the seafood boil was too spicy we were told that maybe next time we should stick to the no spice level and the order could not be fixed. My son ended up not eating the seafood boil. This was a bad Christmas food experience, never will dine at Red Lobster on a holiday!”
