“My favorite Eric’s location! This locally owned ice cream shop is such a community staple and the owner supports the community generously.

We always have a great experience whenever we visit, and my kids are always asking to go back. There are so many delicious homemade flavors to choose from, but the monster cookie is a must try.

“Was in Defiance last weekend with friends. We were looking for a place to have lunch and I had seen on the Valentine Theater site that Ensign’s was where Maag’s used to be and they had a lot of the same menu. Went there years ago, before 1980, and was pleasantly surprised with the lunch. Had the roast beef, knockers, chips & draft beer. Everything was great and the prices are very reasonable. We all had a good time and my friends were happy that I suggested going here. Keep up the good work!“

“I'll start with the best part. The root beer is so good!! We usually have to grab a gallon to bring home. It just hits differently than anywhere else in town. I was slightly disappointed this season it appeared the chili sauce was changed. It was a different color. The flavor was slightly off. Not bad but not great. I don't like that when using a debit card there is no where on the receipt to leave a tip. It is a great place for a little nostalgia. I have been going to the root beer stand since I was a kid. Gone are the days of goofy golf. I would love if they did that again. It would be fun to experience that with my kids. A Foot long chilli dog with cheese and onion and a bag of Andi Caps has been my favorite thing to get since I was probably old enough to order it. The chicken sandwiches are great too.“

“We came in for dinner and were seated right away we ordered an appetizer and our meal at the same time which I was worried about having it all come out at the same time but our waiter Mikey was his name was on point and very friendly he did a wonderful job of making sure we were happy with our experience“

“Came in here last night (Tuesday ) around 9pm with my fiancée. I didn’t get her name but we had a waitress with longer black hair and she was the sweetest. She checked up often, made us smile, and feel comfortable and did amazing at her job.She deserves a raise!!“
