“There is not a lot of options in Van Wert. I found this place and it looks very basic and more like a 1980s dinner. I had a salad and the blue cheese dressing was amazing, I ordered the NY strip, it was so good, great char from the grill, great seasoning and cooked perfectly. Best steak I have had in a long time.“
“Back at the end of June, I went in a group of about 10 coworkers for lunch to Fairway Grill. I did not even know this place existed and its located in my town. Its located in Hickory Sticks Golf Course, and the place was once a bbq place, but had not been to this place for years. I was excited to try Fairway Grill, as some of my coworkers said they had eaten here before and they said the food was good.No wait to sit down, and the waitress got our orders very quickly. I ordered the chicken tenders platter. In almost no time, our food started coming out. The chicken tenders were crunchy and delicious. The fries were also the perfect middle between too crunchy and too soft. I did ask for honey mustard but I was told they did not carry if, so I got buffalo sauce. My only gripe, I think they should reconsider carrying honey mustard as I would love to bring my family here and I know my mom would go for the chicken tenders but she dislikes any sauce but honey mustard. We got back to work within our one hour lunch. Love the fact that this restaurant is on the ball when it comes to making sure its food is out and its customers are out quick during the lunch rush! I would definitely come back! Great food! Great service! Quick service for lunch even with a large table!“
“My sister turned me on to this place. It's close to her work and wanted me to experience it. When I got there I was taken back. It reminded me of the old A&W Drive-in. The waitress comes to the car and takes your order. When the food is done she brings it to you on a tray that fits on the door window. My sister ordered the tenderloin and I have to tell you it was big! In fact, she couldn't eat it all. I got the chili cheese burger and some deep fried mushrooms. Boy was it good. I will be going back soon.“
“The last mom and pop restaurant chain in this area of Ohio , delicious for food and the atmosphere was OK.More for the locals of Van Wert area , they have their regular older folks crowd, it's a little worn but quaint , the breakfast food and service was excellent . The dining room chairs were uncomfortable , but like I said overall this is a great place to have breakfast.Parking: There's wheelchair accessible spots next to the door.“
“Today, I visited a lovely bistro in Van wert, Ohio, where it's nestled into a corner next to the court house named 133 Bistro. A lively spot filled with the chatter of locals. We visited around lunchtime around 12:10 to be precise. The nostalgic atmosphere of small town America seeps through the walls and gives you a sense of home feeling. That familiar comfort you know and love. Like coming back home, We were welcomed with a big hello, and that is always a precedent of how your service will be. Also, not long after arriving, there was almost a full house. We started off with what seemed to be a classic appetizer, the Combo Platter that was chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings. The chicken was juicy and tender. The onion rings were crispy and not overdone, and the mozzarella sticks were good and had actually melted cheese on the inside for a change. Lol Also (ranch lovers, they have the good ranch!) I do wish we had a little more serving size wise, but it was all delicious! We ordered burgers and fries, and they gave a huge serving of fries! I asked some of the people next to me what some local favorites were, and they told me the Phillysteak sandwiches, breakfast skillets, omelets, Burgers, and their club sandwiches! So I will order one to take home and try! I will say just seeing someone else club sandwich they look delicious and again a huge serving of fries! The waitresses were highly attentive and took great care of us! I needed one thing, and 3 servers jumped to my aide, which is so refreshing! So tip well! They deserve it! Note** I spent more money because I wanted to take home and try a few things it was a very decent bill before I ordered additional items! Take my word and give this place a try!“
