Zoe the manager LOVES her customers and treats us like guests in her home. That alone is reason to return—you are always greeted with warmth, & genuine care & friendliness when you arrive. 2. Our server, Owen, remembered us from last time (a month ago!)and brought our food out quickly with a Big Smile & gracious care. 3. THE FOOD IS PHENOMENAL!! We had the Godzilla roll & the Sweetheart roll—both original & exceptionally good. We had their handmade egg rolls & fried dumplings (you get EIGHT instead of the usual 6!)—the sauces for both were delicate & aromatic—truly GORGEOUS. We became regulars after our first visit! Right now the building owners are doing construction—and it might look like they’re closed. THEY’RE OPEN!! “This is my favorite Hibachi place in Akron. So many hibachi places have started using frozen vegetables which I cannot understand for the life of me. Nippon Hibachi still uses FRESH vegetables. The taste and quality of the meat is FRESH. Chicken is definitely chicken and not a mystery meat. Portions are excellent. I usually split one meal into 2 or share with someone. Also, the owners and workers are SOO SOOO nice. I have never not had a pleasant experience here. Also if you pickup, every meal comes with a drink, although I don’t think it says that on the menu.“

“My husband and I love Ichiban!! I am originally from California, and I can honestly say this is some of the best sushi I’ve had anywhere!

It is always good and the ingredients are very fresh - both when we eat there or get it to go. The quality of their salmon is just perfection! My husband is vegan, and he really loves their veggie rolls and orders the agedashi tofu without bonito flakes and it is excellent.

The staff are also so nice and recognize us now as regulars. And, if you order hot tea, they have the most adorable tea sets :)

“I recently ordered the Chicken Hibachi Combo Meal with Broccoli, Carrots, Onions, Zucchini, and Fried Rice with two additional Yum Yum Sauces. It was pretty good. I would order again. I particularly liked the Fried Rice with Vegetables.“

“I cannot praise the employees of Hong Kong Buffet enough. we were regulars before the pandemic hit, so we obviously enjoy the food and atmosphere. but, we went for the first time since the reopening after covid19 hit and let me just say they have an AMAZING system going on for social distancing and they did such an awesome job. we even felt the food was better. theyre serving in a cafeteria style set up with plexi glass around the buffets and all employees were in masks and gloves. and setting customers all 6ft apart. they were honestly doing better than any other restaurant I've seen so far at following guidelines and providing excellent services. 👍👍“

“Second time here last night. Celebrated my daughter’s 10th birthday! The chef on was amazing he did this train smoke and sound out of the onion volcano it was my fave part. He even handled a ladies allergies to pepper, sesame seeds and seafood really well. (Sucked for the rest of us lol) but I know that can’t be easy if you have a flow. Food was excellent and I like how this place does not put egg in their fried rice! Their little sherbet dessert at the end is my fave part!“
