“Our family stopped at Schlepp's on our travels tonight through the area. The food was absolutely delicious, portions were HUGE and service was excellent. We will certainly stop again the next time through the area!”

“This pizza is very reminiscent of the Ohio Valley favorite I grew up eating, DiCarlo's. The crust is the best, and the cheese and pep put on after it comes out of the oven is their special technique that makes it amazing! I regularly travel 40-miles just to get a few slices. They never fail to serve the best pizza available.”

“Friday evening we were fortunate enough to enjoy our dinner from Christopher’s! My husband had the steak special and I had a Cobb salad, both of which were excellent! The pumpkin cake for dessert made it over the top! Thank you Emily for your wonderful restaurant and your service to Harrison County!”

“Lots of food and lots of flavor. We were passing through Cadiz and seen this on the map and wanted to try a local place. We got lunch and ice cream and both were excellent. The fries are hand cut and huge and a large serving size. The ice cream was great too.”

“The perfect little place to go for an outstanding coffee, quaint, and quiet. It makes you feel like you're in a little place like Stars Hollow. It was just what I needed to do a reset. The service was top-notch, and the server was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu.”

“If there is an unsung cathedral of Chinese takeout in this world, its name is China King. You don’t just eat there — you surrender to it. Before you even open the door, the air outside is already perfumed with that warm, savory promise of soy, garlic, and just a flicker of sesame oil. It feels like the kind of neighborhood spot that has been quietly feeding generations of local citizens who know where true value and flavor reside.
Inside, the staff greet you with that perfect blend of speed and friendliness: not performative, not rushed, just welcoming. There’s a genuine warmth — the kind that makes you feel like you’ve been here ten times even if it’s your first visit. Service is brisk, orders come out correctly, and the prices are almost suspiciously fair for the amount of food they give you. You pay, you wait a moment, and suddenly you’re walking out with a bag that feels like it could weigh down a small boat, but barely dent your wallet.
But the Chow Mein Fun — specifically that miraculous tangle of thin glass noodles — is the apex predator on the menu. If culinary enlightenment had a texture, I’m convinced it would be those noodles: springy, delicate, translucent strands that somehow soak up flavor without ever becoming heavy. They slide across the tongue like a whisper but deliver an orchestra’s worth of taste.
Each noodle is kissed by the wok — a faint smokiness, just enough oil for sheen, never grease. The vegetables remain crisp enough to provide contrast: shredded cabbage that snaps, slivers of onion that bloom sweet in the heat, maybe a scallion or two to remind you freshness exists. Bits of egg, chicken, or shrimp (if you’re feeling bold) weave through the noodles like secret treasure. It’s balanced food — the kind you finish before you even realize you’ve been eating, and suddenly you’re staring at an empty container wondering if it would be socially acceptable to order again within the same hour.
There’s an inexplicable pleasure in how the dish manages to be hearty without being heavy, savory without being salty, simple yet layered. It’s the sort of meal that could become a weekly ritual — or a personal obsession. Saying it’s “good” would be an insult; calling it the best thing to ever grace a mouth feels closer to the truth. No other noodle, rice dish, or stir-fry from any surrounding establishment has ever quite hit that same intersection of flavor, affordability, and comfort.
It’s the kind of food you eat after a long shift, before a movie, while half-asleep at 1am, or sitting in your car because waiting to get home would be an act of self-denial. It works in every mood — celebration, stress, boredom, hunger, nostalgia. It’s food that remembers who you are.
And through all of this, China King remains cheap — aggressively, wonderfully cheap — proving that greatness doesn’t require white tablecloths or artisanal buzzwords. Sometimes all it takes is a wok, glass noodles, and a handful of people who genuinely care about feeding their community.
Five stars doesn’t feel like enough. This is a quietly legendary establishment — a place where flavor is honest, service is kind, and the Chow Mein Fun is the culinary equivalent of falling in love”

“The waitress we had was wonderful even when they were very busy. My friend told me. The Pizza burger wasn't the greatest mozzarella sticks were unusual
The garlic butter was wonderful. French fries and chili's we're good. I ordered a cheeseburger. I didn't have cheese on it. In Vietnam mail on it that I ordered when I ordered a well done burger and got at medium we were a party of 5, there's 3 of us. It was our first time. And 2 of us were from another state. It was a decent bar.
Better than what we have in PA. They were very nice there.”

“Had 0 intentions of eating so much! Lol but our waitress was so polite and attentive and informative and it was pretty busy. Pretty much whatever she was selling we were buying. We had burgers, fries and a appetizer. Finished with a great piece of strawberry 🍓 cake that the 3 of us shared and it was plenty! We’ve always had good service but this time it was great! 🤩 It’s refreshing when people seem to enjoy their job. Thank you Amanda! 🤩”
“Owners were very pleasant and the pizza was great.”

“The pizza here was delicious, and the prices of all the sandwiches were fantastic. Wings were very solid as well! Actually, cheaper than McDonald's and Wendy's, and I would much rather go here for lunch and help support a small business. The beer is very reasonably priced- $5.50 for a 22oz draft $2.79 for a can. I would say that the service was a little slow due to the high volume of customers, and I think they could definitely use some more staff. However, our server was extremely upbeat and really lovely. My only other suggestion would probably not be to charge for a water bottle. Overall, I highly recommend it, and we'll be back for sure in the foreseeable future!”

“The best tasting pizza in the Ohio Valley, period. The dough is very tasty and they add a nice touch of literally painting garlic butter on the crust. Best tasting sauce on a pizza that I've ever had, creates a base for the pizza to make the toppings pop. The cheese, though, is soooo good and completes a perfect tasting pizza. They are so good that I'd wish they'd open franchises elsewhere in the Ohio Valley so that people beyond Flushing, OH could enjoy its greatness!”
