“Dueling Axes made for an awesome double date night! It was our first time throwing axes and knives but John gave us a great intro and coached us girls through it! He was hilarious and so approachable, willing to give more tips when I was struggling miserably LOL. We loved the variety of games, including a cornhole-style scoring game (1st to 21 or 51). The bar is very nice, and they serve an excellent peach mint mule- great work, Dan. We will definitely be going back!”

“The lamb hummus is a must. So much flavor and hummus has a perfectly smooth texture. One of my favorite dishes was the lamb fahsah. It came out bubbling hot, lamb was so tender and delicious. The portions of all our entrees were very generous and could be shared easily. I was pleased with how clean the restaurant was and the service and kindness of the staff was some of the best we’ve ever had. Can’t wait to return.”

I got the chik’n pasta and my husband got the Philly and fries. Food was made to order and very fresh. My pasta was so good that my husband raved about it the whole time there and after. Clayton is the owner and chef and was very personable with everyone ensuring their food and service was good. He took his time explaining things to us and it’s very obvious how passionate he is about his food. Before we left he insisted we try a sample of his soup and corn bread. WOW!! “Always a good place. Many a delightful time with a great selection of food. Ice tea is quite good. On this visit we were surprised that desert is $8.50 a serving.

Will continue to eat there but limit desert purchases. Of note for those of you who like to order food to go the do a brisk business in such orders. During our in restaurant time there were 14 pickups.”

“What a unique experience! As soon as I walked in the door I felt like the restaurant transported me to another place! The language is definitely Portuguese here but they do speak English as well although I am Puerto Rican so my Spanish could fend for itself there. I came alone and was sitted within like 10 minutes and then I forgot to put a coat down and someone took my table. After I got out of the line the servers helped me find a new table and offered different sauces to try with my meal. Everything was great but my favorite was the picanha! My only tip when you go here is to be confident speak up, it’s a busy restaurant but everyone seems willing to help. Great first time experience.”
