“Heard great things about this restaurant. Ordered the steak and chorizo tacos and they were fantastic, the chorizo was more than just orange grease. The service was great, had multiple staff stop by to make sure everything was good. The food has actual flavor, unlike other Mexican restaurants. I'm no aficionado of Mexican cuisine, but I will say that hands down it was amazing.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Casa Mexicana and I must say, it was truly a 5-star experience. The service at this restaurant is impeccable - the staff was attentive, friendly, and quick to accommodate any requests. The restaurant itself has a comfortable and inviting ambiance, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. Now let's talk about the food - it was simply outstanding. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that no one left hungry. From the mouthwatering burrito to the flavorful birria tacos every bite was a delight to the taste buds.I highly recommend La Casa Mexicana to anyone looking for the best Mexican food in the Boardman area.“

“This restaurant has a good deal of competition in the area and represents itself well. Food is good, good portions and always delivered at appropriate temp. Our server was kind, prompt and accurate with our order. Pictured meals are the Burro Chipotle and the Pollo Sonora. Drinks were Berry and Rasperry Margherita. I only rated the atmosphere lower as there are poor acoustics and it can get quite loud when busy.Parking: Plenty of parking at the building.“

“Delicious, well presented entrees with local fresh produce used. The portions were nice in size, and everything was served pipping hot. Cynthia, our server was friendly, attentive, and efficient. We went for dinner and arrived around 5:30 pm on a Friday night. We were seated and served immediately with no waiting. We will be back again. The hot Peppers appetizer was excellent and so was the Salmon Salad and the Chicken & Shrimp dinner.“

“Food was really great and the atmosphere is very pleasant, service was really fast. The people that work/run this place are great. Pictured is the flautas (2 chicken/2 beef). Anyone who knows me knows I’m a sucker for flautas, they were my first beef flautas and they were amazing.“

“The food was good however the refried beans in the food seemed to be thicker or texturally off than normal may have been the time we came in being old(745pm). I will say our waitress was phenomenal manager came out and checked on a several which was awesome too. The atmosphere was nice clean the only reason for the four stars is because it was cold almost like the heat wasn't working we were in a back room that would be fantastic for summertime. The temperature typically wouldn't bother us except for the fact that we had children with us.“

“We really injoy this restaurant. We normally like to sit at the bar because of the TV's and sports programs. My favorite dish is the AP Especial. It's grilled shrimp, chicken, steak, onions, and peppers over rich with cheese. Extremely delicious.“

“The food here is phenomenal!! The ambience is perfect for a typical Mexican restaurant. The service was okay. Our waiter was kind and receptive to our request. However, it took over 45 minutes to get our bill after we were finished eating. He never even came back to speak to us. We ordered dessert, and he must've forgotten about it. It was over an hour from the time that we ordered it to the time that we had to ask somebody if we could have it. I was with a group of friends who I had not seen in quite some time, so we did not mind the wait because we were together. However, had this been a typical night with people that I see often, like my family, this wait would have been very inconvenient and caused me to find a different waiter to get me my check so I could leave. I am assuming that our waiter just got off track or was new, so I am super understanding. Even though everything took a while, our waiter was kind, and the food was great!“

“Fast, good food. Uses a blended orange and white cheese for the cheese enchiladas, which I loved. Very yummy. Good chips. Hot salsa. Small outdoor seating area. Friendly staff. Perfect small local Mexican joint. Picked it based on Google reviews. Did not disappoint.“

“Sr. jalapeño’s in Struthers, Ohio is one of my local haunts. I know the staff and owner on a first name basis. The food is always amazing, served hot & fresh. I love the Fajitas, my absolute favorite! They also serve breakfast fajitas as well. usually sit at the bar, but there are other seating options. A large dining area with table & booths. They have a nice little, complete bar, Tequila and Pacifico await you. The atmosphere is great, very friendly & inviting. So the next time you crave a great Mexican dinner, stop by Sr. Jalapeño in Struthers, you won’t be disappointed.“

“I'm a tough customer to impress but this place hit 5 STARS in every category. Food was on point, very flavorful, huge portions and served at temp. The service was excellent and the atmosphere, quite impressive! I suspect the outrageous bad reviews may be from the competition. Spend your money here, I'll definitely return when I'm in town.“

“The frozen marg was 10/10, the service was fast and friendly even with our large group during dinner rush. Everyone's food looked great and tasted just as good. No complaints for an easy Mexican serving in a small Ohio area you don't expect much from.“

“I've tried Wahaka a couple of times before but the food was so-so and expensive. I decided to give it one last try and boy the third time is the CHARM! The kinks of being a new restaurant have worked themselves out. I got a huge chicken burrito and the $5 Oaxacan Nachos -plus the included beans and rice. The flavors were fantastic and it was so much food!! Now, I'll be a regular customer especially with their awesome deals!!“

“I had a take out order for two Mexican steak taco orders. They were extremely busy since it was Cinco De Mayo so no complaints about waiting. But I cannot believe the steak tacos were suppose to be what we received. Strips of steak in 3 soft tacos. Nothing else. Just dry steak in a plain taco shell. No peppers, onions, sauce nothing. Tell me this is not their steak taco.“

“If people knew how good the food here was there would be a line out the door. Our second time here now and both times our food has been the best Mexican food we have gotten within an hour and our servers have been wonderful. Definitely my new favorite Mexican joint in the area. Not only is the food hot, fresh, and delicious… but they have some unique items on their menu you can’t get at other Mexican joints in the area… and they have some great specials as well.“

“This place is amazing. It was close to closing time but they stayed open so I could get something to eat and opened up the bar so I could have something to drink and enjoy my food. The staff goes out of the way to make sure you have a great dining experience even though they want to go home but they think of the customers first. I recommended this restaurant to everybody in the area as the staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great dining experience Now for the food: It is incredible! Everything is authentic and tastes fantastic. Every single meal is plated with care. Flavor and taste is at the forefront.“

“Mellisa is awesome and the team was too! Mellisa took our order and enthusiastically repeated it back to us, getting every item we asked for! We had asked for quite a bit of substitutions, additions, and removals on our food and they got it all right. The food was great; good portions, soft tortillas, and they remembered the hot sauce packets. However, Mellisa and the other workers taking pride in their work will be reason we come back.“

“Hundreds of times I have been just down the road from this restaurant. Finally visited it, and wished now that I had gone there sooner. My wife ate the leftovers, and she wanted to know where I got it. Even cold, the enchiladas were delicious! Ok, I have to add to this. I went there for my second visit, and this time for brunch. Breakfast there is amazing. One of my sons ordered the churrito waffles with jalapeño maple syrup...I wish I had ordered it. But the one I ordered was savory, just as amazing. By the way, my son pointed out that Hefe was spelled wrong, that it should be Jefe. But Americans would not know to pronounce "J" as an "H." So, El Hefe was most likely named on purpose to get us to pronounce it right.“
