“My husband and I love Check Please! We have gone multiple times. The food is tasty, the staff is friendly, and it always feels clean! We love being able to draw on the table and getting the seasonal coffee brews. Today we were served by Amy and she made sure we had a very lovely time!”

“We were very unsure at first! Because the building is weird looking!!!!!! But there's always a lot of cars. So we decided to try! There was no where to sit except for at the counter! It was extremely busy! Waitress got us drinks and took our order. We did wait probably 45 plus minutes for our food!!!!!!!!!! But when it arrived; I was beyond amazed! The pancake the bigger than the plate! And it was good!!!!! I ordered the country omelette and it was the best omelette I ever had!!!!!!!!!! Their food was amazing!!!!! I see why there's no seats and why it took so long for our food!!!!! We had breakfast but now we are willing to do another wait to taste their lunch menu!!!!!! If your not in a rush; I would definitely suggest eating here!”

“We visited the bar the weekend of August 16th on Friday barmaid was wonderful! Saturday the barmaid was real cranky, had some type of attitude. went in there at 10:00 pm try to make conversation with barmaid, seemed like we were bothering her or like she had attitude because she could not close early. She was texting somebody all of a sudden a male came in she and sat on the other side of the bar with him and only then her mood and attitude changed.”

The food is always fresh and delicious. Very gracious staff, fast service with smiling faces. “We've had donuts for our parishioners from various stores in the area on Sundays for years and none can compare to Expresso. Donuts are freshly made every day, delicious & of a generous size and the owners and staff are excellent to work with. So glad they are in Elyria!”

“The food is delicious. Unfortunately, there is only one server. She is great and works so hard. She moves from one table to another without getting a rest. We often wait longer because this great server also handles pick-up orders, so it takes more time for our food to arrive, or our order to be taken. We keep going back because it is a lovely, clean, cozy restaurant with delicious food choices, that always arrives hot when it reaches us. And, a server who goes out of her way to make sure every customer has been taken care of and is happy with their meal.
I only gave 4 stars when it came to service. Not because our server wasn't giving us excellent service, but because one person cannot do everything without a break.”
