“Stopped in late Saturday evening and despite it being extremely busy it was such a fun time. It was almost like a show watching the two bartenders handle the lively crowd and make drinks. We were lucky enough to arrive right before the place was packed and grabbed a seat in front of all of the action. The cocktail menu and spirit selection is exciting. There’s so much to choose from in this beautifully designed bar and even if it’s not on the menu, they can come up with something you’re going to love if you give them a direction you want to go in.
The Meishan Pork Old Fashioned was a rich, tasty cocktail that had me wishing I had a plate of smoked meats and cheese to accompany it. Next time we will have to arrive early enough to eat here again so I can accomplish that!

“I would highly recommend the Chefs Table at Carmagnola. For us it was a six course dining experience unlike any we had ever had. Seated in a private dining area that is positioned right in front of executive chef Jackson Rouse and culinary staff we were provided a detailed description of every course including how the dish was prepared, the inspiration for the dish and where ingredients were sourced. Some local and some from other parts of the world. It was treat for the senses. It was surprisingly healthy menu with nothing fried, smothered or processed. 100% fresh ingredients including in house made pasta, micro greens snipped fresh from the table top garden in the kitchen and fresh meats and seafood. Of all the courses, the wood grilled rabbit cacciatore Trenne in vodka sauce with fennel, green olive and leek was the best followed closely by the Sumac Seared Hokkaido Scallop in a confit fennel puree surrounded by green chickpeas and Lemon Argumato and the house made vanilla gelato with cocoa nibs and mugilio (a syrup made from pine cones sourced in the Swiss alps). My husband and daughter opted to do the wine pairing which they throughly enjoyed. My son and I got separate drinks, he a Limecello and me a Cranberry Mule mocktail. We each had sips of each other’s drinks - all was amazing. Overall an unbelievable fine dining experience.“

“If you want tacos but you can't decide what to put on them, this place will make you 2nd guess any of choices because there are about 100 different options to choose from. “Saturday is marketed as R&Brunch (nice play on words). A DJ is there playing R&B music. The DJ doesn’t talk or hype the audience, she just provides R&B not piped in from a prerecorded “mixtape” CD. The music creates a groove/atmosphere that I enjoy. It’s a grown folk feel. Though it would appeal to a nice range—college students and your parents would also enjoy. I was happy with my meal. It was really good! I enjoyed my dining experience. To be clear, I am one who can be NOT satisfied with ALL the little things and chock it up to an awful experience to which I would not return. I believe the cuisine is very well done. It’s not just mass-produced soul food or comfort food that no longer has the passion and love from the chef’s vision. I’ve experienced similar restaurants in other bigger cities and this is something Cincinnati just does NOT have enough of. I am excited the chef is investing in the restaurant and I cheer her and its success.“

“On Monday, June 3rd. The Middletown’s Police Chief along with others from the FOPA held a friendly competition. They had nominated 9 local restaurants in our “Best Burger in Middletown” showdown. Middletown’s own “Swire Inn” took home the WIN!!! They had entered the Swire Inn Burger. Harmonizing with goodness & singing to our souls. This burger was inviting & tantalizing. With a mouth-watering juicy look that stole the show. Cooked to perfection and topped with freshness by Chef Jason Kauffman. “such a nice shop and owner! Had a flat on my ebike, it was fixed in less than one day and very reasonable I thought! I tried to do myself but it was too complicated since it was the back wheel where all the main workings were. Highly recommend! Thank you for your prompt service!“
