“I took my 22-year-old son to the meadery for his birthday. Not only did we get special tastings we got the history and knowledge of how this small business came to be. Our bartender was incredibly knowledgeable, had a very inviting personality and to top it all off he makes amazing mead!!! Be careful everyone it's got more alcohol content than I'm used to and it's crap up on me pretty quick LOL!!!!“

“Why we loved Gene's: Creative, delectable cuisine; an inventive array of wines and cocktails; friendly, expert sommelier and wait staff; cozy, northern California vibe; and well paced courses. Bottom line, we loved everything about Gene’s.
And one more thing - the owner personally followed-up on our experience. I can honestly say that has never happened to me before.
Gene's is unique in every way - front and back of house and most definitely at the table. You should absolutely add this soon to your collection of culinary experiences.“

“Such a wonderful treat! We celebrated friendship and mostly my husband's upcoming retirement at the end of this year. Patrick was AWESOME super cool server and truly made the experience - our first one here - amazing. Cannot wait to return and a huge thanks for all of Patrick's professionalism, energy, seamless way he made a connection with each of us. Great dinner out and we'll def be back!“
“Just had their newest addition to the high quality menu. The generous portion could easily be a shareable for two or a great lunch tomorrow. Extremely tasty with the right balance of crumbles and b’fflo sauce. Great w/seasoned fries or house chips. Make sure to have a pint of the Kroenburg 1664 pints to wash it down. Oh and BTW, it’s a great deal. Won’t disappoint your palllet or your wallet! Enjoy.“

“Fine Italian dining, with an excellent, reasonably priced menu and gracious owners, Rick and Jackie. They have been a consistently high quality venue in Grandview Heights for 22 years!“
“You gotta get there early if you're going to park at the 6th tee entrance; it fills up fast. If it is full, go south about a block and there's generally a guy sitting there with his daughter in a golf cart. He has about 10 spots in front of his house down the street, that he charges $20 for. Great guy and he'll run you back to the road in his cart if he can.“

“While shooting a segment for the show Out n About Columbus, the owner Colin and the chef Marja took us through a gastronomic journey that left every one of the crew dumbstruck from the flavor and creativity in the dishes that were offered to us today! If you have the opportunity to dine at this incredible establishment, don't walk... RUN in the door! Don't ask for a menu! Let the staff take you on a culinary adventure! You definitely will not regret the decision, not one bit!“

“My husband & I had the privilege of dining at Z Cucina in Dublin on Valentine’s Day. The concierge’s at the front were wonderful, and our most pleasant experience was not only they food, but our wonderful waiter, Benjamin. He is such a great host at one’s table, but has an expert knowledge of the menu. I will request him again!“

“Wow!! This was such an incredible experience! Hands down, the food and atmosphere were perfect. The wine shelves and antique decor made for a nice, comfy space. They had wine flights at a reasonable price so you can taste before deciding on a whole bottle. We ordered a variety of items from the menu, including the mushroom bruschetta, sliders, blank + blank (pick 2 lunch), short rib, and bread pudding- ALL delicious!! Even with these other factors, the thing that really topped off our experience was the service. Jessica was the nicest, most efficient server we’ve ever had!! Definitely will be back on our next trip to Columbus!“

“🌿 Hillgarten Brewery – Hilliard’s Hidden Gem 🌿7.6 out of 10! What a beautiful surprise tucked away in Hilliard! Hillgarten’s expansive outdoor space was hands down the highlight of the night. With wide-open seating, tree-covered areas, and cozy hanging lights, the vibe was equal parts romantic and relaxed. 💫 The beer selection? Exactly what you want in a neighborhood brewery—a perfect variety of drinkable, staple brews that suit all tastes. On a hot summer evening though, I would’ve loved to see a frosted glass option—the beer warmed up a little too fast for my liking. We ordered the giant pretzel, which definitely delivered on size! The beer cheese was decent, but we were hoping for a bit more creativity or a “mystery dip” option to spice it up. Also… just give us one good cup of cheese with it instead of making everyone upgrade for a second portion. Small thing, but it stood out. As the sun set, the whole place started to feel like something out of a movie. Couples celebrating engagements, friends laughing over cornhole in the corner, and a casual, easy energy. The only thing missing? Some live music, especially for a Saturday night. 🎶 We found ourselves lost in conversation… time honestly stood still. It felt both lively and private, which is a rare combo these days. If I had one other piece of feedback, it’d be for a slightly bigger food menu and maybe a kiddo cut-off time around 7 PM, just so the evening crowd can fully settle into adult mode.
