“We had an exceptional experience at North End 2.0 tonight.
A quick note for first-time visitors: although they open earlier for wine and retail bottle sales, dinner service does not begin until 5:00 pm, and they are not taking reservations yet. We arrived at 4:30 and were happy to enjoy a bottle of wine while we waited—but it’s helpful to know there is no food service prior to 5.
Once dinner began, everything was outstanding. Our server recommended a bottle of wine that was absolutely excellent and set the tone for the evening.
We started with the beet carpaccio special, served with an incredible assortment of bread—pita and a lovely Italian bread—alongside olive oil, balsamic, and Parmesan. Truly delicious.
For entrées, I ordered the Alaskan sablefish, and my husband had the short rib with gnocchi. Both dishes were exquisitely prepared—mouthwatering, beautifully balanced, and deeply satisfying. I honestly cannot remember the last time I cleaned my plate at a restaurant. If it hadn’t been socially inappropriate, I might have licked it.
The service and atmosphere were attentive without being overbearing. Our server checked in thoughtfully, the owner stopped by to make sure we were happy, and another staff member followed up as well—it was clear there is a genuine commitment here to hospitality and excellence.
We finished by sharing a dessert that deserves special mention: a salted caramel chocolate chip cookie stuffed with strawberry cheesecake ice cream. NOT One bite was left behind! Looking forward to another visit soon.“
