Put simply, Kepner’s is Hudson’s dive bar. It’s an institution. If you’re looking to have a few drinks with friends or even just go out on your own, there really is no other game in town.Kid-friendliness: Don’t bring your kids here. While they serve food, that’s really not what they’re focused on. It’s a bar first and foremost. I've been coming to Kepner's for over 40 years and dinner last night was one of the best meals I've ever had here. Lilly has done an excellent job revamping the menu. I chose the hot Italian sub with a side of sweet potato fry's and will say BEST fry's and and sub I've had in years! My wife chose the chicken quesadilla which was again outstanding..Kep'is always crowded and loud but hit it last night with perfect timing. The bartender was really nice. We talked about our pets. Seems to be a place where regulars hang out (I was with my friend whose hometown is Hudson and she was super familiar with it). A friend I used to have told me it's a swinger's bar, but I didn't investigate that claim, haha. We didn't have any food. My friend and I were having an after dinner drink and then we left. Pretty nice end to a girls' night on a Thursday.
