“We ordered a salad topped with salmon, French Onion Soup and the sirloin and mashed potatoes. The salad was crisp and fresh, and the salmon served medium as ordered. It was very good. The French onion soup was excellent with plenty of onions in a tasty broth. The sirloin was cooked medium as ordered. It tasted great but was a bit tough to chew. Service was very good - friendly and efficient.“

“The restaurant's mission is consistency and the food is ALWAYS delicious. The short rib bruschetta paired with the Maison Nicholas Pinot Noir was absolute perfection. I constantly enjoy sitting in the pub area and my mom, dad, and significant other especially enjoy the pub food including the short rib nachos and pretzels.I love to get my holiday wine here as well. I am always so impressed with how much variety NE has. I managed to get a case with all of my favorites including a Beaujolais Nouveau, Georges Duboeuf Pinot Noir, and Lobster Reef Sauvignon Blanc for the upcoming holidays. I do wish that the beer selection had a tad more variety as we enjoy ciders, sours, goses, and stouts and the fridge was mostly IPAs but overall, always a wonderful visit to this local gem.PS. Lambic beer is a little rare to find and I'm really glad NE stocked this!“

“Amazing cozy place. Has great atmosphere. Family who owns it are amazing, everyone is so helpful and considerate. I’m new vegan so I was very honored to be treated with chefs special vegetable plate dinner. Drinks are amazing. They have team of servers that has been with them for long time, this makes it very authentic and knowledgeable. Loved everything about it. Upstairs and downstairs both equally amazing spots.Vegetarian options: Some dishes certainly could be ordered as we can option. Chef is happy to create something special and beautiful for your taste.“

“Started with a great cocktail at the bar. Bartender was exceptional. Meet a great young couple at the bar. Had dinner in the bar area. Waiter Joe was very knowledgeable and was able to get me the last elk chip which was just amazing. Chef did a great job and also prepared my wife's steak perfectly. “Love this iconic Hudson restaurant! (See what I did there..??) Nice blend of traditional and eclectic cuisine served in a very comfortable and casual atmosphere. Went with my wife on Valentines Day. I gladly ordered the special beef short ribs with wine reduction and my wife opted for the classic fish fry. Both were fantastic - proper doneness, temperature and flavor. Did you know that Hudsons has a HUGE selection of bourbons on their bar menu? World class!“

“First time here and it was the bomb dot com. The food was fresh and hot, waitress was noce and attentive and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. I will be going back. They are only open till 2 pm est, they serve breakfast and lunch so keep that in mind when you go there to eat.“

“Food and vibes at The River Merchant were so good! Probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had, and the added blackened chicken was perfect. Our server Lorelei was great, and suggested leaving our beer cheese behind from the pretzel app for our fries which was such a clutch suggestion. The salmon croquettes were also delicious. Lots of wins at this restaurant, definitely would recommend.“

“We have been talking about going here for a long time. I finally made the trek and am glad that I did. From the moment that we walked in to the time that we left, the employees were outstanding! I ordered so much food, and they were trying to get us the best deals possible. And when I say I ordered a lot, my total was $140. ? But it was definitely worth it!While we were waiting for our food to get cooked and boxed up, my son noticed these paper ships and wanted one. I went to the counter and asked if he could have one or if I could purchase one for him. The employee told me that they were free and that he could have a couple of them. The employee also said that they don't have toys like other fast food restaurants, but they had stuffed animals that he could pick from. He found a Thor stuffy, and he was so excited!After our food was boxed up, one of the employees offered to help me out to my car. It was lightly raining and I really appreciated the help. Because there was a lot! On our ride back home, my son was living his best life naming his ships. It has been three days and he's still playing with them!“

“I've been telling my family that this is my favorite restaurant for the last two years. I finally got to take my dad here. He tried the veal scallopini and loved it. He said wow with every bite. I love trying their specials every month. There is a reason why this place is always packed and why I keep returning. It's amazing.“

“I had the flat iron steak. It was cooked perfectly and came with a delicous crispy potato croquet. Others I was with had the fish dinner and mushroom burger both meals came with perfectly cooked hand cut French fries. We all are looking forward to a return visit.“

The Lavender Bees Knees is a must have every time I go there, but the drink menu does change. I go to this business frequently. The only reason not 5 stars is the service. I've had too many negative service interactions to give 5 stars. Even so, I still recommend this business to everyone I know who enjoys a stiff drink. Call ahead because this place is usually very busy.“

“Delicious vegan cauliflower wings - best I've ever had. Super creamy vegan shake, and my dogs LOVE their doggie snacks. Got a Hangry Husky and a Chow Chow for their Easter dinner. Their pita and hummus are also great! I would give ten stars if I could!“

“Overall good experience. Parking is across the street. restaurant seemed OK. I did not try the food but it looked appetizing, and the bar was efficient and decently priced. Location is good and with in walking distance to multiple restaurants. I would stay there again no problem, if the need aroused.“

“On February 3rd (2024) four of us enjoyed a relaxing and delicious evening at Six Horses Tavern. I was searching for a cozy place and did not expect to find such a prize in a hotel. It is my understanding that the very talented couple running the tavern actually own the business within the hotel. Kudos to them! The service was gracious, the menu was refreshingly creative and delectable, and the setting lovely.Parking: Easy parking just in front of the hotel entrance.“

With the new year, the tables are set with linen and white china-the perfect background for Chef Ian's rotating and creative cuisine. An eclectic shuffling of melodies flow through the cozy space. My most recent experience was a delight. The strip steak was seasoned and grilled to perfection accompanied by potatoes lyonnaise and steamed broccoli. Not only delicious but a beautiful presentation emphasized by Brandon's twirl of the plate. Dessert of poached baby Bosc pear in Beaujolais sauce ended dinner on a high note. “I tried this place for the first time today. I was with a coworker who frequents here. He was acting like a pro to me with this place telling all about this and that...well, I finally got to the bottom of it. Yeah, he's been there a lot and can tell me how amazing the mac and cheese is....bc that's all he's ever ordered lol.Well, I ordered the buffalo wrap. I added tofu and subbed kalamata olives in place of tomatoes. This was a very fresh, simple and tasty meal. I am not from the area but am absolutely looking forward to the next time I am in. Grazers each day would even help me another way. I stop daily for a kombucha. They have that here, too. Everyone was friendly, and they came out and made sure our food was good while we were eating, which surprised me. The restaurant was very clean as well.Vegetarian options: When I say everything is vegetarian, it is not. But it basically is and you can add various proteins. Great spot, wish there were more like it.“

“I’ll tell you what. The young lady Naja that was our server was Great to us. My wife is Gluten free and she initially thought “oh boy what I’m a going to eat”. Naja referenced cauliflower crust pizza and the Impossible burger. The burger my wife ate was fantastic. The boom boom shrimp, wings and the PIZZA were delicious. “I like the place more and more with each visit. The distillery spirits are good and for sale at Silver Spirits. I dislike the gin but I like juniper gin. This struck me as more like Hendrix so if you like the florals you will love this gin. Like the Bourbon. Their Bourbon Manhattans are pricy, but worth it. And the bill encourages people to drink appropriate amounts.We have a deaf guy we go out with (cochlear implant) and they are most accommodating to get us into a space where we can talk.Never have had a bad experience with the staff. They are bright, courteous, and hard working. Tip themI've been going through a hamburger phase and I love them. I recommend medium. They hold together well and are pinkish inside.
