“Probably one of the best steaks I’ve had in years. I had the sirloin and my wife had the filet. Excellent price and much cheaper than brown derby. You definitely get a good size steak! Only issue was why no rolls? Nice clean place and excellent service! We are going there again for sure!“
“We ordered a salad topped with salmon, French Onion Soup and the sirloin and mashed potatoes. The salad was crisp and fresh, and the salmon served medium as ordered. It was very good. The French onion soup was excellent with plenty of onions in a tasty broth. The sirloin was cooked medium as ordered. It tasted great but was a bit tough to chew. Service was very good - friendly and efficient.“
“Food and vibes at The River Merchant were so good! Probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had, and the added blackened chicken was perfect. Our server Lorelei was great, and suggested leaving our beer cheese behind from the pretzel app for our fries which was such a clutch suggestion. The salmon croquettes were also delicious. Lots of wins at this restaurant, definitely would recommend.“
“I had the flat iron steak. It was cooked perfectly and came with a delicous crispy potato croquet. Others I was with had the fish dinner and mushroom burger both meals came with perfectly cooked hand cut French fries. We all are looking forward to a return visit.“
“Found a cozy cocktail lounge with a variety of delicious martinis to choose from. I got a strawberry dark chocolate martini and then a pistachio one to end the night: both tasted like desserts! They were creamy and felt like drinking ice cream!The food was spectacular. We split the grilled cheese dippers as an appetizer, and then a seafood flatbread (which the bartender chose for us because we couldn't decide between two items. He made a great choice!)Service was hospitable and attentive without being invasive, he was observant on what we needed. The host who sat us was also nice.The setup is very chic, cozy in the cold weather, and beautiful mirror decor on the walls! Can't wait to come again for happy hour (4-6pm $6 martinis and wines/beers)“
“The restaurant's mission is consistency and the food is ALWAYS delicious. The short rib bruschetta paired with the Maison Nicholas Pinot Noir was absolute perfection. I constantly enjoy sitting in the pub area and my mom, dad, and significant other especially enjoy the pub food including the short rib nachos and pretzels.I love to get my holiday wine here as well. I am always so impressed with how much variety NE has. I managed to get a case with all of my favorites including a Beaujolais Nouveau, Georges Duboeuf Pinot Noir, and Lobster Reef Sauvignon Blanc for the upcoming holidays. I do wish that the beer selection had a tad more variety as we enjoy ciders, sours, goses, and stouts and the fridge was mostly IPAs but overall, always a wonderful visit to this local gem.PS. Lambic beer is a little rare to find and I'm really glad NE stocked this!“
“Overall good experience. Parking is across the street. restaurant seemed OK. I did not try the food but it looked appetizing, and the bar was efficient and decently priced. Location is good and with in walking distance to multiple restaurants. I would stay there again no problem, if the need aroused.“

I’m new vegan so I was very honored to be treated with chefs special vegetable plate dinner. Drinks are amazing. They have team of servers that has been with them for long time, this makes it very authentic and knowledgeable. Loved everything about it. “On February 3rd (2024) four of us enjoyed a relaxing and delicious evening at Six Horses Tavern. I was searching for a cozy place and did not expect to find such a prize in a hotel. It is my understanding that the very talented couple running the tavern actually own the business within the hotel. Kudos to them! With the new year, the tables are set with linen and white china-the perfect background for Chef Ian's rotating and creative cuisine. An eclectic shuffling of melodies flow through the cozy space. My most recent experience was a delight. The strip steak was seasoned and grilled to perfection accompanied by potatoes lyonnaise and steamed broccoli. Not only delicious but a beautiful presentation emphasized by Brandon's twirl of the plate. Dessert of poached baby Bosc pear in Beaujolais sauce ended dinner on a high note. “Started with a great cocktail at the bar. Bartender was exceptional. Meet a great young couple at the bar. Had dinner in the bar area. Waiter Joe was very knowledgeable and was able to get me the last elk chip which was just amazing. Chef did a great job and also prepared my wife's steak perfectly. “I tried this place for the first time today. I was with a coworker who frequents here. He was acting like a pro to me with this place telling all about this and that...well, I finally got to the bottom of it. Yeah, he's been there a lot and can tell me how amazing the mac and cheese is....bc that's all he's ever ordered lol.Well, I ordered the buffalo wrap. I added tofu and subbed kalamata olives in place of tomatoes. This was a very fresh, simple and tasty meal. I am not from the area but am absolutely looking forward to the next time I am in. Grazers each day would even help me another way. I stop daily for a kombucha. They have that here, too. Everyone was friendly, and they came out and made sure our food was good while we were eating, which surprised me. The restaurant was very clean as well.Vegetarian options: When I say everything is vegetarian, it is not. But it basically is and you can add various proteins. Great spot, wish there were more like it.“

“I’ll tell you what. The young lady Naja that was our server was Great to us. My wife is Gluten free and she initially thought “oh boy what I’m a going to eat”. Naja referenced cauliflower crust pizza and the Impossible burger. The burger my wife ate was fantastic. The boom boom shrimp, wings and the PIZZA were delicious. The atmosphere with sports playing on big screens and the cleanliness of the place make this a home run for eating out! Thank you“
“Relaxing cocktail bar with dim lighting, unique furniture, indoor and patio accommodations. Kitchen food is limited but good. The stars of the show are the strong, unique cocktails. The Lavender Bees Knees is a must have every time I go there, but the drink menu does change. I go to this business frequently. The only reason not 5 stars is the service. I've had too many negative service interactions to give 5 stars. Even so, I still recommend this business to everyone I know who enjoys a stiff drink. Call ahead because this place is usually very busy.“
