Went there on Wednesday after pre-ordering the day before on Tuesday for a pickup of (2) lunch $8.99 meals and a $6.99 biscuits and gravy for me and my elderly friend Barb in Parma for Thanksgiving Thursday. When I arrived, my order was not ready. Mr. Ricky Vincik (Certified Trainer) offered me a free loaf of dessert bread to compensate for the mistake carry out person's mistake. Seeing that it cost the same as the biscuits and gravy I already ordered, I asked if I could just have that. He agreed. That's how you satisfy a customer! Keep this guy!“

“We held a wedding rehearsal dinner there on June 27th. It was a party of 16 in The Porch area. Our waiter, Neil, was extraordinary, the food and drink was exceptional. My only regret is that we live 10 hours away so going back and sampling all the other menu choices is problematic. Highly recommend!“

The charm and small town feel is icing on the cake. The level of care for something as simple as taking the rest of our food to go is something you just don't see that often. “Went with my In-laws this past Friday. The parking was awkward making it difficult to exit to the front of the building. The food, drinks and service were top notch. However, I thought the 3% up charge for using a credit card vs cash to pay the bill was a bit petty due to the already inflated menu prices. This left me wondering; why the owner thought it was more important to cover their $5 cost at the expense of me returning again?“

Our server seemed a bit overwhelmed and left us waiting for long stretches, although I appreciated that other staff members stepped in to help deliver our food and keep things moving. I rated that portion of the service three stars for that reason, but everything else was excellent, and I will definitely return; hopefully with a more attentive server next time.“

“Had my wife and I had dinner before the Blossom Music Center, The Guess Who concert. Made reservations for 5:00 pm it was pretty crowded. But we were seated immediately. I have the Fish and Chips, my wife had the Flat Bread Pizza, both excellent. Got out in 45 minutes, took about 20 minutes to get to Blossom in time for the concert. Servuce was great. This resturant is right on the Cuyahoga River, nice views. Also the blown glass light fixtures by Glass Assylum, in Chagrin Falls where fantastic. We'll be back“

So glad we did! Carl was great, the food was prepared perfectly and we had a really wonderful time! Highly recommend going Wed through Sun and asking for Carl. You will not be disappointed! “Last night we had the gyro, the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, and the wings. The gyro was fantastic! It was stuffed with meat, veggies, and a flavorful tzatziki sauce. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes, which was the special of the evening, was a personal size, top glazed meatloaf set in a mound of homemade mashed potatoes with a wonderful gravy. It was flavorful and filling. The wings were huge and juicy. We had the honey habanero sauce which was amazing. We highly recommend West Ave Tavern for a fantastic meal, drinks and atmosphere.“

“The meal we had one quite possibly one of the absolute best we have ever had! It was creative! Something lacking in so many fine dining experiences.

I had the scallop small plate and ravioli for my entree. Being from Maine originally, I consider myself a scallop connoisseur, and these were not only expertly prepared, but the sauces and cucumber freshness blew my mind.

The use of the lamb in the sauce for the ravioli was unpredictable, I love a little lamb fat! It paired beautifully with the clean flavor of the peas.

The atmosphere is super romantic. We loved every minute.“
