Food was delicious & my Cheech & Chong breakfast burrito was spicy hot, flavorful & beautifully plated as you can see. My husband had to get a hamburger since it’s one of his top picks. He said it was an 8.5 rating & really tasty too. - A must stop for the decor, eclectic rooms and expansive menu that I was told changes up every six months. “Food and vibes at The River Merchant were so good! Probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had, and the added blackened chicken was perfect. Our server Lorelei was great, and suggested leaving our beer cheese behind from the pretzel app for our fries which was such a clutch suggestion. The salmon croquettes were also delicious. The restaurant had an older community feel to it which I like, and the food was great, I had the broasted chicken and jojos and the chicken skin was crispy and chicken itself was very juicy. As for the JoJo's they were not dry at all and very tender. I also had the veggie basket as a appetizer, and it was very good. It came with zucchini, mushrooms, cauliflower, sauerkraut balls, waffle fries, sweet potato fries, and potato cut fries. And for dessert I had the lava cake and ice cream, and it was delicious. The cake was super moist, and chocolate dressing (lava) was smooth chocolaty, and thick. And to top it off our service was great, she was such a sweetheart. Hamburger was good but the least favorite of our try for the day. Extensive menu. Wasabi aioli is a must have! Difficult to maneuver to tables as they make use of every inch of space. Very noisy. If with a family outing for a visit may want to try for lunch or during the week.Parking: Parking during the week paid. On weekends it's free. Plenty of parking but not really close. “Traveling on I80 and stopped for the night at a hotel and Rockne's Pub looked like an inviting place to eat. Very nice menu and we received excellent service throughout our stay. I tried the black bean soup which came in a very large bowl and was very good. My wife had the Reuben which she enjoyed. Of course, there was Yuengling on tap which we always enjoy. We had a very nice meal and time at Rockne's Pub.“
“I absolutely love this place! We went in on St. Patty's Day, knowing it was going to be busy, but the staff was on the ball. They got us chairs to sit in while all the tables were full, and we did not have to wait on a drink. When a table cleared, our group of four ordered food, and it was fantastic. Even though they were packed, our wait was not long at all. We had burgers, fries, and buffalo chicken dip. The live music was better than any band I saw in Nashville just a few weeks prior. We will be back often!!“

He was acting like a pro to me with this place telling all about this and that...well, I finally got to the bottom of it. Yeah, he's been there a lot and can tell me how amazing the mac and cheese is....bc that's all he's ever ordered lol.Well, I ordered the buffalo wrap. I added tofu and subbed kalamata olives in place of tomatoes. This was a very fresh, simple and tasty meal. I am not from the area but am absolutely looking forward to the next time I am in. Grazers each day would even help me another way. I stop daily for a kombucha. They have that here, too. Everyone was friendly, and they came out and made sure our food was good while we were eating, which surprised me. “Had dinner there last night with a group of friends. First time being there since it was redesigned in 2022. The views are awesome and it was reasonable quiet for us to carry on our conversations. We ordered multiple items from the menu from appetizers, main courses, and desert. All were absolutely fantastic!! Food was prepared and served very well. Our server was spot on the whole night. She was engaging and very attentive, something we don’t see a lot of any more. I should have remembered her name, but unfortunately it escapes me. This is definitely a place to visit with a menu that will please most. My only concern is that it is, if not already, a place that many will come to enjoy!! It was thirty degrees out and we came early. The place was hopping when we left. None the less, it is now one of our regular night out spots. Reservations are a good idea. We were a group of 7 and we were seated with a group of ten. It was a little "busy" with everyone talking but not horrible and not Rockney's fault. “This is the best bar in Kent. It is not fancy so don't think you're walking into an upscale restaurant and don't go late because that's when all the students come out. However, if you want good bar food, a great selection of drinks, and a nice bar to sit at and chat with the bartenders or watch sports, this is the place. “We celebrated my husband’s 40th with a trip to Inn Walden and visited The Barn for dinner. The space was cozy, yet modern and the staff was lovely. Our server provided great recommendations and was incredibly friendly. The cocktails were delicious and we even got an amuse bouche and outstanding focaccia bread to start our lovely meal. My husband ordered the French onion soup and filet and everything was done perfectly. I got the Cesar salad and scallops and was very pleased. It was the Friday before Christmas, so the restaurant was slow, which may have given us some extra attention, but I wouldn’t have minded if service was slower as the ambiance was great and food was very worth it. We can’t wait to come back!“
“Always super food! Portions are unbelievable and flavor is always good. I loved the fried shrimp. Also tried a bite of the lamb chops, prime rib, surf and turf and the lobster for my family’s plates and everything was delicious. Their lobster is better than anywhere else in my opinion. Simple with butter because the actual flavor of the lobster is so good it doesn’t need a lot of added seasoning. The only thing I did not care for was the sausage but that is because I am not a fan of spicy and it had a little spice to it. The decor is not fancy which is okay with me. I would prefer good quality of food over mediocre food because paying for a fancy atmosphere. Waitress was attentive and answered questions and accommodated my family’s crazy requests and preferences. If you like great food and leftovers the next day this is the place to go in Kent, Akron, Canton or Youngstown. Just make sure to check the hours or call to make sure they are open because hours have been shortened, the waitress said since COVID hard to find staff. Also no credit cards, only cash or check- always been that way for as long as I can remember. I am sure this is to help keep prices down due to all the CC fees. They do have an ATM there but you may have to pay a fee. I always just pick up some cash in the way. IT IS WORTH IT!“
