“Had the Thursday turkey special and the good wife had chicken and dumplings. All the food was great. Cooked perfectly. Tasty and good. Biscuits and cornbread perfect. Cranberry sauce. Yum. The cashier was very concerned with our order being ready. She kept checking on it, and the young lady brought out the bag and handed it to me. How nice. Browsed for a few minutes while waiting and there is so much neat items to look at and purchase.Parking: Must have been 10 spots. About half of them were for take out pick ups.“

“I've heard about this place & it was over an hour and 15 minute drive but worth the drive! It is a fun, interesting busy place! They have a huge menu with everything from breakfast to dinner! Everything we got was a good portion at a decent price! We will be back because there are so many things on the menu that we want to try even more! So we will be road tripping it again soon!“

“The food was fantastic. Delicious. We had the roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and grave, and the roasted pork dinner. The pork dinner comes with rolls and three sides. We chose broccoli salad, green beans and sweet potato casserole. All were fabulous. We also chose custard pie and cherry pie for dessert. Both were wonderful. As good as the food, was the service. From the host to the wait staff to the cashier, friendly, welcoming, and so very efficient. Our first time here and we can't wait to go back. Oh, the coffee was the best we've had out in a very long time.“

“Food and vibes at The River Merchant were so good! Probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had, and the added blackened chicken was perfect. Our server Lorelei was great, and suggested leaving our beer cheese behind from the pretzel app for our fries which was such a clutch suggestion. The salmon croquettes were also delicious. Lots of wins at this restaurant, definitely would recommend.“

“Guys! What? I have driven past this so many times without going in, but I'm so glad I did. Their burger with an egg on it was so good there aren't enough words to tell you! Service was great, football games were on, it's very clean inside, friendly environment, we will absolutely be back. My husband had wings, we had fries as well. “Tried this place for the 1st time, I gotta say it was great!! The restaurant had an older community feel to it which I like, and the food was great, I had the broasted chicken and jojos and the chicken skin was crispy and chicken itself was very juicy. As for the JoJo's they were not dry at all and very tender. I also had the veggie basket as a appetizer, and it was very good. It came with zucchini, mushrooms, cauliflower, sauerkraut balls, waffle fries, sweet potato fries, and potato cut fries. And for dessert I had the lava cake and ice cream, and it was delicious. The cake was super moist, and chocolate dressing (lava) was smooth chocolaty, and thick. And to top it off our service was great, she was such a sweetheart. “Breakfast was very good. The breakfast special is what I ordered. The serving size for the potatoes is a lot. The rest of the plater is perfect. The raisin bread was on point. It was very busy, first thing in the morning. The servers were not able to keep up with the people coming in. This is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for service.“

“My wife and I drove 55 minutes to this restaurant. We heard about it in a Gluten free group. She had the Gluten free Oyster platter, I had the Oyster PoBoy. They bother were amazing. I know it was a seasonal menu, but I was impressed with the PoBoy. Most places put a powerful sauce that overpowered the taste of the main ingredient. “We were in town for a concert and decided to stop by Ray's for a late lunch/early dinner. Ray's is a super casual townie bar. Service was quick and friendly. They offer a good variety of local beer options as well as old standards. My husband ordered the cheeseburger and onions rings. They were great, he said the burger tasted fresh off the bbq! I ordered the poutine fries - the serving is more than enough to share with a group and oh was it good. The meat was smoky and delicious and the fries were crisp- so good. We would definitely recommend Ray's and return if we're in town!“

She was borderline over serving out table, but it was pleasant without being too overbearing.Food was nominal.Classic American food style, nothing too special. More care and respect could have been shown to the food, but don't expect much from a younger kitchen staff and workers who don't appreciate food as much as they could. “Overall good experience. Parking is across the street. restaurant seemed OK. I did not try the food but it looked appetizing, and the bar was efficient and decently priced. Location is good and with in walking distance to multiple restaurants. I would stay there again no problem, if the need aroused.“

“I absolutely love this place! We went in on St. Patty's Day, knowing it was going to be busy, but the staff was on the ball. They got us chairs to sit in while all the tables were full, and we did not have to wait on a drink. When a table cleared, our group of four ordered food, and it was fantastic. Even though they were packed, our wait was not long at all. We had burgers, fries, and buffalo chicken dip. The live music was better than any band I saw in Nashville just a few weeks prior. We will be back often!!“

“I tried this place for the first time today. I was with a coworker who frequents here. He was acting like a pro to me with this place telling all about this and that...well, I finally got to the bottom of it. Yeah, he's been there a lot and can tell me how amazing the mac and cheese is....bc that's all he's ever ordered lol.Well, I ordered the buffalo wrap. I added tofu and subbed kalamata olives in place of tomatoes. This was a very fresh, simple and tasty meal. I am not from the area but am absolutely looking forward to the next time I am in. Grazers each day would even help me another way. I stop daily for a kombucha. They have that here, too. Everyone was friendly, and they came out and made sure our food was good while we were eating, which surprised me. The restaurant was very clean as well.Vegetarian options: When I say everything is vegetarian, it is not. But it basically is and you can add various proteins. Great spot, wish there were more like it.“

“Had the Strip steak and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The prices were a bit more than a chain steakhouse but it was still worth the trip. The decor is a bit outdated and my only other complaint is they don’t have a waiting area they ask you to wait outside.“

“This is the best bar in Kent. It is not fancy so don't think you're walking into an upscale restaurant and don't go late because that's when all the students come out. However, if you want good bar food, a great selection of drinks, and a nice bar to sit at and chat with the bartenders or watch sports, this is the place. Live music on Friday night and game nights other days, what more could you want? It's also a great people watching spot. Hope you enjoy it like we do.“

“Not much to say. Typical Rockney's. Food was delicious service was fast. My wife and her aunt said the lemonade tasted watered down was the only complaint we had. We were a group of 7 and we were seated with a group of ten. It was a little "busy" with everyone talking but not horrible and not Rockney's fault. Will down there again for sure.Kid-friendliness: One highchair can be clamped onto the tables but only the tables bolted to the floor. The regular highchair can't set on an isle end of a table. Little difficult to make that work depending on where your seating.“

“Always super food! Portions are unbelievable and flavor is always good. I loved the fried shrimp. Also tried a bite of the lamb chops, prime rib, surf and turf and the lobster for my family’s plates and everything was delicious. Their lobster is better than anywhere else in my opinion. Simple with butter because the actual flavor of the lobster is so good it doesn’t need a lot of added seasoning. The only thing I did not care for was the sausage but that is because I am not a fan of spicy and it had a little spice to it. The decor is not fancy which is okay with me. I would prefer good quality of food over mediocre food because paying for a fancy atmosphere. Waitress was attentive and answered questions and accommodated my family’s crazy requests and preferences. If you like great food and leftovers the next day this is the place to go in Kent, Akron, Canton or Youngstown. Just make sure to check the hours or call to make sure they are open because hours have been shortened, the waitress said since COVID hard to find staff. Also no credit cards, only cash or check- always been that way for as long as I can remember. I am sure this is to help keep prices down due to all the CC fees. They do have an ATM there but you may have to pay a fee. I always just pick up some cash in the way. IT IS WORTH IT!“
