“We were a party of six for dinner on a Saturday evening. From greeting by host to the time we left everything was perfect. It had been raining on and off all day and had just recently stopped and host offered to accommodate our outdoor reservation request by setting up the patio for us. Despite being extremely busy, service was wonderful! Food was delicious…hummus appetizer was so good! We thoroughly enjoyed the surf and turf, burger & fries, chicken shawarma and crispy salad entrees. I would love to see the falafel make a comeback. This was our first visit since the new owners took over. They have made a number of changes and rebranded - all very nicely done. We will certainly be back!!”

“My friends and I came here for the first time yesterday for the Thursday Girl Dinner! It was delicious! I do wish they had another option for the Girl Dinner other than the Spicy Vodka pasta, it was pretty spicy and not everyone likes spicy food!”

“Went with my In-laws this past Friday. The parking was awkward making it difficult to exit to the front of the building. The food, drinks and service were top notch. However, I thought the 3% up charge for using a credit card vs cash to pay the bill was a bit petty due to the already inflated menu prices. This left me wondering; why the owner thought it was more important to cover their $5 cost at the expense of me returning again?”

“This was so fantastic. First time here with the husband and came in summer on a Saturday around 5pm and it was very easy to find a seat. The Big Bear Energy cocktail was a special and hands down was one of the best beverages I've ever had, and I'd come back just for that (please keep it beyond June). The food was tremendous. I loved the chips and dip and skewers. I appreciated that a pitcher of water was given for self service - just reduces the number of check-ins needed. The atmosphere is fun - loved the games. This is such a gem in Kent and the only thing I could ask for is more substantial meal choices in the future.”

“Troy Grille is SO good! Everything is super fresh and made to order and they are generous with toppings. The staff is super welcoming and friendly. Great place to have a delicious Mediterranean feast. We had a steak gyro sub, chicken shawarma wrap, beef shawarma rice bowl and a burger, stuffed grape leaves and tiramisu. All were SO good. If you are getting for lunch and have to go back to work I would recommend ordering ahead because everything is made to order.”

“Haven't been here in about 2 and a half years, they changed the cooks again because the same dishes i ordered frequently are prepared different but under same menu title, not what they were in the past; same size servings but different supporting veggies are used for example: the vegetable stir fry of only 🥦 broccoli in garlic sauce used to come as a massive plate piled high of bright, glossy, steaming broccoli's in a little puddle of brown sauce that didn't go over the lip of the plate, also came with a few shredded carrot strands mixed in. Now same meal arrived with a few over cooked (wilted, limp and not shiny green, dull brownish color) broccoli florets and mostly random veggies, which made me think I was given a veggie stir fry but it was the broccoli and garlic I ordered. The meal was excellent i just wished my plate was all broccoli as I thought it would be.

Minor gripe: my broccoli stir fry felt like it was sloppy saucy, meaning the veggies were in a pool of sauce, felt like too much sauce added in and things were soggyish.

Because the meal was steaming hot and the taste was on point, I did not feel it was worth voicing my concern as even the hot and sour soup was tasty as I never had green peppers in hot and sour soup before and that made me think I was having chili as green peppers remind me of chili, not hot and sour soup.

The hot and sour soup was one of my favorites in the area. I was sad to see it was made differently (veggies used, deviations from previous visits in past) though the soup was still stellar. However, because the cooks are greatly skilled, the dishes tasted great as they were, my only disappointment being they were not served how they used to be when I frequented more.

Most Asian restaurants dishes never change and I like that approach, this place does have deviations occur over time and that frustrates me as I don't get what brought me in, but because the skill is on point whatever they serve still comes out as a 5 star meal and I'm okay with that.

I would ask for future reference use less sauce please as that takes away from the food itself when its soaking in alot of sauce.

“We had a great experience at Barrio Tacos, and a huge part of that was our server, Abbie. My friends and I went on a Saturday night around 7 PM and only had about a 15-minute wait, which wasn’t bad at all for how busy it was.
As soon as we sat down, Abbie greeted us right away and immediately matched our vibe. She was super energetic, fun, and made the whole table feel comfortable from the start. A few of us had never been there before, and she took the time to explain the menu, go over drink specials, and give recommendations without making it feel overwhelming.
She honestly made the experience. You can tell she really cares about her job and the people she’s serving. She was attentive without being overbearing, checked in at all the right times, and kept everything moving smoothly. Our drinks came out quickly, and everything was delicious.
The food was great, the prices were very reasonable, and the atmosphere was fun and lively. There’s also a big parking lot behind the restaurant and free street parking, which made it really easy.
Overall, I’d highly recommend this place, but especially if you get Abbie as your server. She made the whole night and deserves recognition for how great she is.”
