Grand rising family, got a new find from my ADT Viking brothers. This Jamaican cuisine has no equal, IMHO(in my humble opinion). The menu is unique in that you can get salads, wraps, loaded patties, and more. They blessed me with sampling the dishes. Now, it should not need to be said, but, pls don't take advantage.😢.
In Lakewood, easy access, good vibes, beautiful 😍 people. So come home to Jamaica with Irie Jamaican Kitchen. But as always, this is just One Man’s Opinion by VaShawn F Head.

Food is always amazing! And something different than the normal Cleveland take out options. A little pricey, but the ingredients are quality and you can tell.

Review based on getting lunch delivered- delicious comfort food. I ordered the Stewed chicken box with a small side of Mac and cheese. The portion was enough for 2 lunches, and the food was fresh and flavorful. I'll definitely order again and plan on dining in at some point.

Been to the one in Euclid before and now this newer one in Lakewood. The food is quite good for a growing chain. I get the Mac and cheese with the jerk beef. Dee-lish!

Attached are two different photos from two different locations. The one with Mac and cheese is from the new Lakewood restaurant. There’s a few differences between them. Both of these photos come from around 12, respectively.

First: the Mac and cheese is different here. I believe they season it at other Irie restaurants where as this location doesn’t. It’s just plain.

Second: The meat is a bit less than normally given but thats not a huge dealbreaker as it’s quite a bit of food still. However, it tastes as though it’s under seasoned, normally my nose is running from it and I didn’t get that from this.

Very mediocre considering how good the other locations are, all things considered.

The food was terrible not even close to Jamaican food or any food. It was just bland no flavor at all and too wet.

The food is terrible. Very blah tasting and not Jamaican food at its best. We ordered several items and added curry sauce which was a mistake because it had a very off taste and ruined the dish. When we came in to pick up our order, and looked at the food sitting in vats it looked like it had been sitting around for days. Had we known that, we would never have ordered from here. The loaded beef patties are a false representation. The beef patties are not homemade and it was one beef patty on top of overcooked mac & cheese. Will never go back.

I'm also writing this review while eating their food. That says a lot.

The person who served me was really nice and the food is great. I ordered a jerk chicken bowl and it came with rice, beans, plantains, and cabbage. If I lived in the area, I'd eat here all the time. The peach lemonade is also really good. The food is made with soul and love. Thank you!

I had been anxiously waiting for it to open. I finally got the chance to try it for the first time. It did not disappoint. Finally a place to get awesome tasting Jamaican food without having to take an airplane there. Everything is cooked from scratch. Jerk beef, stewed chicken, curry chicken, cabbage, Buddha vegetables, macaroni and cheese, beef pattie, cucumber salsa and mango salsa were all delicious and took me back to Jamaica. I am looking forward to the oxtails. I will definitely be a regular. P.S. I apologize for no photos. I was too busy eating it up!

Kid-friendliness: If children like great tasting food they have it. They have both spicy and non-spicy options plus desserts and child friendly beverages.

Wheelchair accessibility: You can access by wheelchair. There are no stairs.

Iris kitchen Lakewood must be out of their mind for the prices versus the quality of food I just received. $32 for an oxtail box with two fatty oxtails?!? See picture bc I am not exaggerating. And the two pieces were almost completely fat. If you can’t make enough food then do not take orders for said food. Highly highly disappointed. Taste isn’t even on point.. smh

Stopped by for lunch today. The place is spotless. The service was great and the jerk chicken with cabbage was amazing! The owner came out to greet us as well. I’d recommend Irie to everyone.

I've had the jerk chicken a couple of times served with rice and beans. Spice is flavorful with the slight heat. Also had the cabbage and the plantains. Highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant.
