“I chose to celebrate my birthday here tonight because the food never disappoints and tonight was no exception. The four of us dined on melt-in-the-mouth short ribs, perfectly cooked burger, unbelievably flavorful meatballs and pizza and a lemon cake with pistachio frosting that our absolute ROCK STAR server, Michael, was kind enough to comp for this birthday girl. Sarita is the best restaurant in the entire greater Cleveland area. No need to save for a special occasion, the prices aren’t crazy. Thanks again for a very happy birthday.“

The Hangar Cocktail Bar • $

“I cannot speak highly enough of this establishment. My partner and I stumbled upon this bar spontaneously while exploring Ohio City one spring day, and we have been captivated ever since. The concept of the bar is innovative, and their menu is consistently outstanding, featuring seasonal changes and custom cocktail recipes crafted by their own staff – a truly remarkable feature!! Additionally, the bar proudly showcases local Ohio brand liquors, beers, and IPAs, adding a distinctive touch to their offerings. The staff members are truly exceptional, embodying a delightful combination of professionalism and warmth. I must extend a special acknowledgment to Ethan, Noah, and, of course, the owner, Sam, who have made us feel like part of their extended family. With its inviting atmosphere, exceptional drinks, and friendly staff, this establishment exceeds expectations on every front. What more could one ask for?!“

“One of our favorite wine spots in CLE. Nicely curated wine selection, flights are great for trying new wines, generous pours. The snack boards are well done and pair well. The Cheat Day Board is just plain fun. Staff, especially Victor, is happy to answer questions, recommend wines, and remembers what we like to drink. Space is cute. We love visiting on quiet days and sitting at the bar. Parking is easy and a lovely patio for sunny days. Also a favorite bottle shop of ours. Prices are very fair and we can always find something new to try.“

“A group of 5 ex Metro residents go together to eat here last night. First time for all. In the old Theos which I have some great memories of. Ample parking in the back with an entrance there. Great shareable plates including dates and stuffed peppers(my favorite). Dinners were excellent including my scallops over risotto and cod, steak and sirloin. Going to come back when they have the ossobuco going. Desserts 'ok' but not outstanding - changes weekly though. Staff excellent. One was a sommelier and couple of us left with some wine. Will be back. It wasn't busy but they don't have that many tables even tho the restaurant is a good size. It's dominated by a very large square bar area in the middle of the restaurant that could accomodate about 20 people(guess).“

“What a location!! Right on the water, we were sat in the enclosed patio area and got to watch the seagulls feast with us.We started with the beer and shot and I had a sweater weather, I had them change out the vodka for tequila. It was tasty! We got the crispy broccoli and cauliflower and boy was that a treat! The veggies were super crispy and the drizzles on there are full of flavor in such a memorable way… yum!For brunch I had the fried green tomato sandwich with pork belly. Holy cow! This was a mind blowing meal.My brother got the burger. He spoke very highly of his plate as well. This is a new favorite in downtown Cleveland. In a couple months I have tickets for a concert at Nautica (Jacob’s pavilion whatever we call it these days) and this restaurant looks right out on the river at the value. I’m gonna pregame here for sure! “My partner and I come here frequently to get coffee but can never get a table due to the various brunch events on the weekend. We love their coffee so we got tickets to one of these events and we’re really disappointed. For $35pp we got a small flight of mimosas (probably 1 regular size put together), 1 chocolate square, 1 oreo sized cookie, 1 crostini, and A QUARTER of a pastry. Not worth the money at all. The staff tried their best to accommodate for a diabetic child that we had with us but there are no substitutions on the brunch menu so we purchased additional food so they could eat with us. Good coffee and friendly staff but I would not get a ticket to a brunch event again. The Taylor Swift brunch is not really child friendly. Come for the coffee, not the event“

“Today was my first time visiting this restaurant. I moved to Cleveland about four months ago. This was a recommendation from my brother-in-law, who is a lawyer.I was waiting on Destiny and she was fantastic . She offered to write down some local Community information, but I missed her before we had to leave and go to the Cavs game.I managed to find street parking, so that was great. I will definitely visit this restaurant again.I don’t typically eat bread. I saw the olive oil infused with other things, and I was inclined to try. The bread is local and it is fantastic.Vegetarian options: I’m certain a place like this has great salad. Vino Volo Wine Bar • $$
Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, 5300 Riverside Dr, Cleveland - 5.35 miles

“Vino Volo is an oasis in the sea of crappy, fat-filled food options at the Cleveland Airport, but don't get me wrong.... I would still choose it, regardless of the competition. It's just startling that the Cleveland airport still gets it horribly wrong -- especially for celiacs. Well, no matter. I have Vino Volo! The staff is always friendly and helpful, and it's nice to tuck away from the chaos, and watch the people go by, with a civilized glass of fermented grapes in your hand. Along with my Cabernet Franc, I had the arugula and tuna salad with lemon dressing. Delicious! One great thing their location at the bottom of Concourse B; even if you are flying out of C, it's close enough to eat healthfully and with sanity. Thank you, Vino Volo!“

We go in and see the cutest atmosphere and decorations and someone comes up to us and tells us to sit anywhere. When our photographer told them why we were they, they showed us this beautiful room and let us take photos in there and outside! Opting for pre-cocktail drinks, we found ourselves so enamored by Christian's service that we decided to remain in the bar despite having dinner reservations elsewhere. His drink knowledge was evident and attentively addressed all our inquiries. Christian went above and beyond by recommending a delightful off-menu special that left our taste buds WANTING more. Furthermore, he made my son's birthday celebration truly memorable, ensuring it was an unforgettable occasion. “My husband and I made dinner reservations for 7:30 on a Friday evening. The waiting area is a tad confusing; you're suppose to check in upstairs before they escort you down the stairs. So, wait until you're greeted upstairs before you head downstairs. The atmosphere is very chic. We were seated at the table across from the stairs. I noticed throughout our time there that many people came immediately downstairs just to go up the stairs again. My personal opinion is there should be a clear sign upon entry to wait upstairs before being escorted down. Service was slow in the beginning; it was most likely due to the fact that there were multiple parties seated before us at the same time. Nevertheless, I counted about 5-6 working servers, 2-3 bartenders, and 1 very active hostess so that shouldn't be an issue. Our server, Miguel, took about 8 minutes to greet us and take our beverage order. The wait time when we were seated set precedent of the wait for food and drinks the entire evening. Because of that realization, we ordered our drinks and appetizer immediately, then our entree before appetizer even came out. Our drinks consisted of Caipirinha, Resurrection, and Mango Jalapeño Margarita. The food were empanadas, carne asada, and mango salmon. It took ~18 minutes for our 2 drinks to come out. We noticed the table who arrived around 10 minutes after us received their drinks before we did. I don't know the complexity of their drink order but we should've received ours prior to them. Our appetizer came out shortly after. The food and drinks were robust, and we enjoyed them all. The empanadas were flavorful and came out piping hot. We could've ordered another plate of it. The sweet plantains with the carne asada was a sweet treat of a salty and savory dish. The salmon and mango was also a great combination. The mango is a cold topper so don't expect the salmon to come out hot. We spend about $140 with 1 appe, 2 entrees, and 3 drinks. It's a little expensive than our average date night but the portions were great :)“
