“Let's be clear, this place is not fancy. It's called Pean's Pizza, Subs, and Sudz, so I'm not sure you'd really expect fancy, but some reviews seem confused.
Yes, it's an order and pay first place, But I've been to a lot of pizza places like that in my years. There are signs directing you to this. Once again, not sure why some reviews seem confused.
Staff was friendly. You just really have to understand this is a small town place. It's going to be a casual friendly, not an uptight formal friendly.
Order, pay, grab your number and seat your self, just like a lot of other small town pizza places. Even Pizza Hut used to be like this.
The food was great! Taco fries are exactly as described on the menu, spiced thick cut fries, taco meat, diced tomatoes, cheese sauce with sour cream and taco sauce on the side. It was fresh made so the fries weren't all soggy with taco meat juice.
Hawaiian pizza (say what you will about pineapple on pizza, we all have our own tastes) was delicious. Thin, crisp crust, generous sauce, which was tangy, a little spicy, and just the right balance of sweet. Heavy handed with the cheese, which is very much appreciated, was just melted with those wonderful little brown crunchy bits that makes a pizza flavorful and adds another texture. Toppings were well portioned to get a bit of everything in every bite. Finished the triangle cuts off with a well flavored crust that has just enough mouth feel to know it was well made.
Atmosphere wise, expect down home feel. There's a bar. There's good Ole boys watching the game, there's boisterous conversations buzzing. If that's your kind of thing, you'll be fine. If you expect quiet atmosphere, and people eating pizza with a knife and fork, it won't be for you.
Go for the food (it's great) and if a comfortable atmosphere with out feeling uptight is your thing, stay for the feel of it. If you've never been to a small town pizza, subs, and suds kind of place, come in with an open mind, sit back and enjoy what doesn't come with half-time ads, neon lights, and bells and whistles: good food, real people, and a long tradition of doing simple things well.“

“I recently visited Jim's Pizza Box in Milan while on vacation, and it was an all around amazing experience! Fantastic pizza, friendly and prompt service and relaxing atmosphere. The only downside of my visit was I didn't place an order to go to bring home with me to MO!“

“My husband and I had our micro-wedding dinner at Sortino’s and we could not have had a better experience! Charity, the restaurants’ general manager, and her team went above and beyond to make the evening so incredibly memorable and perfect. Charity made sure Mr. Sortino himself stopped by to meet us and spend time with us- making our night even more special 💕. Don’t even get me started on the food! Everything was delicious. Highly recommend the Chicken Marsala and the Anti-Pasta Board. Only complaint is how far away from us Sortino’s is (we live in Virginia) ☺️. “We've been there twice for pickup. Our food was done on time, staff was friendly and prompt. We decided that we like the regular crust more than the thin crust. The wings are amazing!“
