“My husband and I unfortunately had to go to Ohio for a dear friend's funeral. We lived in Ohio for 10 years and made some lifelong friends there but we had not been back in person for over 20 years. Prior to the funeral we were hungry and decided to go to Studebaker's. It was like stepping back in time. There were several elderly gentleman there having coffee and eating breakfast. By their banter with each other and the friendly waitresses, you could tell they were there every morning to tease each other and the waitresses. The menu and decor were old school. No mimosas or bloody Mary's here. Good strong hot coffee ( my husband said it was the best coffee he's had in years), Pepsi products, chocolate milk, Tea ("Ya want yours sweet, Honey?") and an old timey food menu your Grandma would have been proud to serve you. The menu was extensive but I choose the Swiss Steak hot shot. It was so delicious that I ate every single bite which is unusual for me. My husband got the fried Bologna Sandwich and fries. Fried Bologna sandwiches are a unique Ohio staple but oh, so yummy. This place made us both happy and full which was great as it was a difficult day, having to say goodbye to a dear friend.“

“Last time I was there, I had the Fairborn burger, and a side order of garlic bread. The burger was fairly standard, but quite a large one for its $10 price tag, so I feel it was a good deal. The garlic bread on the other hand, hardly tasted of garlic at all, and seemed to be a couple slices of French bread basted with a very thin layer of butter that had once been in the same room as a bottle of garlic powder. The fries are steak fries reminiscent of Red Robin's. The house salad dressing is a good choice if you like tangy vinaigrettes. The dining room is sparsely decorated, and some of the booths are not in the best repair. The service is always very friendly, and the man bussing the tables is quite the character. I can tell this place has a lot of regulars, and I suppose I may become one of them in time. The first time I visited I had the chicken and dumplings Sunday special, which was excellent comfort food and extremely filling. It's bottomless, but I couldn't manage more than that first serving.Go ahead and check them out.“

“I highly recommend and am truly grateful for Kira, a "10-star" very special Manager at Bob Evans Brandt Pike restaurant. Kira answered my 9:40 pm phone call after restaurant closed and after many rings. I called because I left my wallet on booth seat and realized it was missing when almost home30 minutes later. I headed back to restaurant immediately with phone ringing. Kira answered, heard my dilemma, and searched area where I was seated. She found my wallet on the floor! Kira was a blessing and my angel for the day! Thank you!“
