“Dear diary, it’s been 6 days since I first had the chopped Italian sandwich and coleslaw at Mustards. Every food I’ve eaten since then seems so lackluster and bland. Things I once enjoyed no longer bring fulfillment. My palate was reborn 6 days ago and I can no longer find joy in the foods that I once relied on, I try not to think about mustards when I’m eating other foods but that sandwich was too powerful. Now the ghost of it looms over every meal I try to enjoy, reminding me that I’ll never find that same satisfaction again until I’m sitting inside of mustards staring that plate in the face once more. A monster has been created in me…wish me luck diary, I need it.“
