“Everything was really delicious and the employees was really nice. But it took a little long to be helped. But the kind and nice attitude from the people behind the counter made it ok.”
“Saw the mixed reviews and it made me nervous but I tried it anyway. The fish SLAPPED, as the kids today would say. It was well seasoned, not too salty and fried HARD. Yay! The yams were pretty good and not runny. People have a tendency to NOT know how to properly cook yams. They use too much water, when yams are full of water themselves and need just a small amount and not to be saturated and lose flavor. The greens? Chopped too uniform like. These do not look hand cut, they aren't canned but they aren't rolled and hand cut. They are still good. Now, on Doordash, you can't order cornbread but in store and on their direct site, you can. I took the liberty of making my own corn cakes, as you can see in the picture. I'm glad they do offer cornbread though, despite the Doordash issue. Too many restaurants scream "Soulfood" or "Southern" in this area BUT don't serve cornbread. The sides are HUGE. That's a plus. I ate on this meal 3 times. They also sent me a free side of Okra. I sincerely appreciate it. I LOVE okra.I know I was long-winded but hey... lol.I will be back.Edit: So, I'm confused now. Apparently, their in house menu doesn't offer cornbread anymore. Y'all can correct me in the reviews if need be but I will leave my review up until further notice lol.”
“My son's choice for his birthday, wings and sports. Naked wings are better than breaded. Service was a little wonky but a very nice person. Onion straws were ”
“I don't usually write reviews, and I'm sure of all reviews mine doesn't make too much difference - but I could not let this one go without saying how truly amazing this was. My server Sarah (apologies if not spelled correctly) was absolutely amazing - gave me a free lil palette cleanser of the passion fruit sorbet (freaking amazing). You go in expecting to pay a good bill, but honestly it was SUPER reasonable for the amount of food I got, the service, food quality, and the environment.I felt super comfortable eating alone here, too, so bonus points for that. Also - the food is incredible. My taste buds were so jazzed about it. If I could recreate the sauce that came with the veal short rib, I'd put it on everything haha.Anyway, kudos to the chef, and kudos to my amazing waitress Sarah. Would come back to Cincinatti for this restaurant ❤️”
“Stopped in for dinner. Our server Mia recommended the special of buy one get one ribs. The ribs were delicious, as were the baked beans and coleslaw. Mia did a great job of taking care of us, being friendly and engaging. We're looking forward to coming back.”
“My new favorite meal in Cincy. Our group of 6 ordered through more than half the menu, and not a single dish was just ok - they were all excellent. The bar is a great spot to enjoy your meal.”
“Good food. Very filling. Seasoned well. Good portions. Menu has a lot of options for meat and seafood. Sides are limited. Very decorative and colorful. Music in the background. Had a bandstand set with instruments and a dj booth. Check them out.”
“Authentic Hawaiian cooking - so delicious! Family owned and run. Excellent and friendly service. Don't pass up the custard pie (Val's mother's recipe)!”
“Charming old world home with Sicilian brick oven! The team was wonderful and very friendly. I travel frequently and always seek out small brick oven pizza's to try. I am excited to say that this is now my new favorite! The ingredients were fresh and plentiful and the crust is outstanding! It is an easy walk from Newport Aquarium, which means I will be going again and again. The cannoli pie is a great way to finish up the meal and will not disappoint. The owners were there and engaging and so welcoming!”
“It was an amazing service having our brother?? Jaycee serve us as our waitress… she was amazing… food was on time and my beer never went empty… she was amazing brother?? ask for her everytime….”
“While on spring break from Raleigh, North Carolina, my son and I made it a priority to visit Nolia Kitchen after hearing about it and Chef Jeff Harris' James Beard Semi Finalist. Located in the vibrant Over the Rhine neighborhood, known for its local restaurants and shopping, we planned our early dinner around this exciting hotspot. As we arrived at Nolia around 5pm, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The host was both kind and efficient, while our server impressed us with their sweet demeanor and extensive knowledge of the menu. Though we had already perused the menu, our server still took the time to share some additional offerings. With our choices in mind, we placed our orders, which included the following:- Gulf Oysters (6) from both the East and West Coast- Cauliflower- River CatfishTo complement our meal, I indulged in the delightful Goretti Park cocktail. Each dish was served with care and precision. My son particularly enjoyed the East Coast Oysters, while the cauliflower, accompanied by raisins and honey (we asked for it on the side), left a remarkable impression. Personally, my favorite was the catfish, paired with crawfish and grits. The combination of flavors was truly exceptional.During our visit, we were fortunate enough to meet Chef Jeff himself. He graciously shared his vision for the restaurant, adding to the overall amazing experience.Thank you, Chef Jeff Harris and team, for providing us with a memorable dining experience at Nolia Kitchen, worthy of your James Beard recognition.”
“Our favorite restaurant in the area. I'd put their filet mignon up against any steak house. Atmosphere is very laid back but classy. Drinks are unique and excellent.”
“This is our favorite place. The food is awesome. The gnocchi is incredible. Sam is a great waiter. Wednesday wine night is perfect. Oh yeah forget your diet tonight. Get the bread then the donuts for dessert. Yeah donuts. You can trust me. I'm not like the others.”
“Overall pretty neat restaurant! The menu is very limited - 3-4 options per course with 3 courses in total. Would appreciate bigger selection for this place. It’s not “fancy” enough to offer that limited menuAnd the atmosphere was not the best - a bit old/dated, not in a “antique-cool” way. Very simple interiorMeatballs were flavorfulAnd their duck is really goodHow they decided to bring out a ginger beer, after we ordered a ginger ale, because it is “ginger ale was not available, and this is the closest to it” will remain a mystery to me”
“Hands down my favorite place in all of Cincinnati. Food is fantastic. Service is over the top. Baklava is a must. Espresso Martini is impeccable! I love this restaurant!”
“This experience was… perfect. Sorry the photos aren’t the best quality, I was too excited to eat. The food was *chefs kiss* absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic. I wish I could give 10 stars— probably my new favorite place in Cincinnati.”
“We were here for a mid afternoon meal to celebrate a birthday. The Service was stellar, food was delicious and each person in our party of 5 loved their meal as well as the craft cocktails some of us enjoyed. It was my first experience having an apparel spritz and it was quite enjoyable. The price point per person with beer and cocktails was about $45 per person. I wasn’t sure how formal the attire would be and wore a casual dress with sandals. That was almost dressed up compared to most for the time of day, lots of shorts and jeans, if this helps anyone decide on what to wear. I highly recommend this establishment and will be going back.Dietary restrictions: The server made a point to ask if any of us had any dietary restrictions.”
“Went for a birthday dinner and had an excellent time. The service is impeccable--efficient, friendly, with all of the added touches of a fine dining establishment. The food overall was very good, although not perfect. The Amish chicken was a little too salty and the tartare was good but uninspired. The scallop was by far the best dish, I would come back again just for that!!Dessert was delicious, well balanced, with excellent pairings.Overall, would very much recommend.”
“Make sure you request Danielle O.’s section. You’ll receive excellent recommendations & a personal touch. The piano bar is a fantastic place to start with your drink! Valet is only $4.00!”
“Best Service I've had all year. The appetizers and dessert were phenomenal.Full disclosure, I found my penne dish a little dry, but the ingredients themselves were delicious. Do not skip ordering the bruschetta. An amazing meal that didn't leave me feeling gross. Thank ”
“We haven't had such a fantastic experience in a restaurant in so long, I forgot what it feels like. We were promptly seated by the hostess, and she was friendly. Our waitress was great and was very polite and attentive. I'll never get tired of having a refill for my drink set down in front of me before I have to ask. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, and we enjoyed the decor. I was glad we were almost finished when they sat a couple at the table next to ours, because it is a little close and you're right in each other's conversation. I got the salmon bruschetta to start, and it was so good. Everything tasted so fresh, and the flavors blend beautifully. My girlfriend got the French onion soup, and that looked amazing. She said it tasted really good. We both ordered the filet mignon, and she wanted hers medium rare, and I wanted mine cooked medium. While both steaks were excellent, neither one was cooked as requested, and both were pretty rare. I'm going to let that slide, since everything else was so good. The smoked Gouda Mac and cheese is so damn good, I want the recipe. It's very creamy and delicious. The Brussels sprouts with bacon were excellent and I could eat a bowl of just that. We will definitely be back, and totally understand all the accolades now. Two thumbs up.”
“Came here with a friend who frequents this place and I'm pretty impressed. We lined up on Easter at opening and they already had a line out the door, even in the light drizzle. The line stayed that way over the next hour that we hung out there. They do sell out of items so it's best to get there as early as you can! I'm more of a sweet tooth when it comes to baked goods, but the everything bagel croissant is a must-have here. The staff heat it before serving, and it's truly the best of both worlds - the butteriness and flakiness of a croissant, with the garlic scallion seasme flavors of an everything bagel. The raspberry almond croissant is also delicious, a good balance of tart and nutty. The salty chocolate chip cookie was also good - large chocolate chunks throughout. The vegan matcha brownie was an adventurous pick; I'm usually iffy about vegan baked goods, and this one had a texture closer to a fudge than to a brownie. I liked the chocolate and mint combo but couldn't get a hint of matcha. Similarly, the raspberry matcha doodle had plenty of raspberry but 0 matcha. Overall, the limited edition matcha flavored items fell flat, but the goods off the regular menu were great and reasonably priced. The space itself is bright, large enough to seat a few small groups, and nice to hang out in. Staff are also helpful and friendly. Check this place out and stick to their bestsellers, and you'll be in carb heaven.”
“Always love mitas, and got the venison tartare this time! Great flavor and not gamey at all. Snag yourself a reservation to one of the top restaurants in the US!”
“Everything was very good. Between us we had ribeye with truffle butter and beef stroganoff. A twice baked potato was added along with drinks. The place was busy with everyone downtown for the evening and the staff handled it smoothly. Overall, a good experience and will return.”
“The food here is the best Mediterranean I’ve encountered. We typically order the family platter and it’s always great. Service and timeliness are spot on. Highly recommended!”
“Stopped on our way from Ohio to Nashville. Quaint little place. Friendly staff food was very good. Had the Burrata which was some toasted baguette pieces with mozzarella and tomato. Also had a Cobb salad and the special sandwich which was a toasted sandwich and cream of mushroom soup. Overall a very tasty stop.”
“So happy we found this place! Have been maybe 3 or 4 times and it's great each time! The ricotta toast is simply epic. Best appetizer hands down!! The spaghetti and meatballs is also delicious!!!”
“I can’t say enough good things about this place, the gelato they serve, or the incredible people who work there. True story, they have a specific flavor I absolutely love (sunflower). I ask for it all the time. Well, I hadn’t been in for a few weeks and they had made it. Fortunately they saved me a large cup of it, and gave it to my daughter to give to me. That was so nice and thoughtful, THANK YOU so much.”
“Was trying to add a picture of the pizza but some reason I can’t here, pizza is always super hot and fresh and delish they have amazing ingredients and take pride in what they make it’s obvious, crust is always great ”
