“Gordo's is the kind of timeless place that makes visitors feel comfortable without making a big deal about it. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and very good at their jobs; they seem to genuinely enjoy working there, and it shows.

The food is absolutely delicious and served in daunting portions. The burgers are the jaw-unhinging size (and shape) of baseballs, cooked beautifully and doctored up in amazing ways. Six out of seven of us chose different styles, and none of us were disappointed; I had Boursin and poblano, and I still regret that I couldn't finish that last bite. The lone holdout, my mother, ordered a chef's salad and raved about it, saying that it was the first she'd ever had that she honestly couldn't finish. My dad and I will testify that she did her best.

The only dessert listed at Gordo's is the Dessert of the Day. I asked our waitress whether it actually existed, or if they (rightly) assumed that no one would ever have room to order it. She said that they did (it was tiramisu that day), but most people who could still think about food ordered it to go. My teenager made a reflexive plea, but they were too full to put in real effort.

If we didn't live two states away, Gordo's would already be our family's regular place, and my fridge would already be stocked with the Dessert of the Day. As it is, we'll definitely be back whenever we visit Cincinnati.“

“We just had our first visit here tonight and really enjoyed it. Good draft beer selection, games for the kids, and the food was also very good! Our kids really enjoyed the pancakes (mini fried pancake puffs) and the portions were large and my husband had the haddock with amazing beef tallow fries. I had the poke bowl but in my opinion it was lacking some sort of dressing or sauce. A little soy, ginger, sesame oil combo would be nice! We definitely plan to visit again.“

“We went midday with no one in here and it was great. The prices for the drinks are much better than what I pay at home. The bartender could have been more sociable but she was preparing for the rush hour I assume. There is plenty of seating and the heat on the outdoor patio works very well.

“This was a pretty cool vibe. If you like a little dark and intimate, then this is going to be a pretty cool fit for you. You'll find parking somewhere in downtown on the street or whatever the case may be and you'll hop in. There are a couple of different sides to the establishment:
- A bar that has seating when you come in is fine to sit at
- The side where you will get the lounge action so that's where your seats and lounge couches are set up

I hear that they do live music at some point in time or another so that's going to be pretty cool at some point. I didn't actually see that when I was there but at the same time they did have music playing and it was actually pretty dope.

The bartending staff was pretty cool. I only went for one drink just to give it a go. I got an Irish espresso martini and it didn't have the things that I asked for but they were comparable. The menu itself is very intricate and they can explain it a lot better. I was going for the tried and true.

Either way it goes I thought it was a pretty cool experience and it's a thing that you could do for a date night or something like that I guess.“

“Nice neighborhood bar serving good drinks and pub style food. The food menu is limited somewhat but the taste and quality was very good. Happy hour went until 7 pm and they had live music on the weekend staring at 8 pm. Service was good but tight with the bartenders mixing drinks and serving the food from the kitchen. Lots of regular patrons present .“
