“One just opened in Smithtown and we've already been there twice this week. Today my husband brought me a donut and it was so amazing. I had brought him some cake a few days ago. Can't wait to try the bread.“

“My wife introduced me to Pistacia Vera. She spoke highly of the macaroons and how they were so much better than another place she'd previously visited regularly.

I finally decided to try it out, and although I didn't have the macaroons, what I did have was excellent. I had the Lemon Tart and the chocolate bombe.

It's a small place, and it was very busy when I went. However, the service was quick and friendly, so being temporarily cramped for space wasn't a big issue.

They do have outdoor seating, so that's a plus on nice weather days. Overall, my visit to Pistacia Vera was well with it, and I'd recommend everyone try them out.“

“FYI, it's 100% Gluten-free here. Going in. I thought they may have a few items that weren't, but no. Prices are high for what you get, IMO. And being reassured by the very nice counter person that "they don't taste like they are," they taste gluten-free. However, it's amazing that a store like this exists for those who need/want it, so my hat's off to BMH for their specialized offering.

“I can't say enough great things about The Cakehound! My dog was the ring bearer in my wedding so we had a special cake made for him for the big day. Not only was it GORGEOUS and matched our theme but Teresa also catered the ingredients to suit my sensitive dog's dietary requirements. I don't know how she managed to make a raw-incorporated cake look so beautiful but she did it! He went absolutely bonkers for the cake and it added a fun, special touch that all of our guests loved. I highly recommend stopping in to check the shop out! From the overall aesthetic, ADORABLE baked goods and other items, to the fun events, there's something there for every dog/dog lover. “Went in for the first time today! Bought pumpkin pop tarts, chocolate chip cookie, and a peanut butter cookie. We also bought a latte and a pumpkin cold brew coffee. Everything was delicious! I had a last minute German chocolate cake I needed within a few days.

When I reached out, I was told, reasonably enough, that special takes typically require a weeks notice. Understood. However, let them see what they can do.

Few minutes on hold later and we’re on our way to one of the best, decadent, and fresh German chocolate cakes ever.

In a moment when a business could have reasonably said no, the Goodie Shop went out of their way to accommodate my order.

Upon pickup, the folks I interacted with were friendly and quick to assist with a few extra items too.

Ps: the apple cinnamon muffin is a must have. Thankfully for my jeans, I didn’t order all the amazing baked goods on display, but I have a feeling they’re all delicious.
