“Quiet little suburb dive bar thats been around for years and definitely shows. Large beverage selection with friendly bartenders and staff. Summertime this place really picks up with its sand volleyball courts and outside bar/patio. Great spot for fundraisers or events due to it large dining space and stage area. Killer Karaoke crowd on the weekends shows off some serious local talent. Stop by and enjoy a cold one.

Vegetarian options: Two words: French Fries

Parking: Plenty of parking especially after 6pm

Kid-friendliness: Kids can play on volleyball court and eat chicken tendies.

Wheelchair accessibility: First floor joint with several entrances/exits. No stairs in sight.“

“What a great place! My wife's been here several times before but this was my first chance to join her. I love the space and the concept, and the owner was super friendly and answered my many questions about the business and the beer.
One thing that pleasantly surprised me was that there were several beers that I would have never ordered normally, but since it was by the ounce I was able to do a lot of sampling and found that I enjoyed a couple more than I would have guessed. Great place to expand your beer palate!“

“Ate at The Third Place while visiting my mom during Thanksgiving. Had the Sunday special, the Meatball Casserole. It was delicious with lots of cheese and sauce to dip the garlic bread in. Also had a side salad. I recommend spending the extra $2.50 and getting the salad topped with fresh mozzarella. Yum! I wish I remembered the servers name. It began with a J. She did a good job and was friendly.“

“I had my retirement party at the 3 Spot last Saturday, and they could not have been more accommodating! We've known for a long time that the staff is exceptional and friendly, but we're super impressed now with everyone there! I don't want to leave anyone out, but we remember Dave, Karen, P.J., Ryan, Thomas, Corbin, and our server for the evening, Lisa. She was wonderful-keeping an eye on the group in case someone needed anything. She is fast, friendly, and efficient! The side room was clean, cozy and nicely decorated with a Christmas tree in the corner. And last, but not least, the food is AWESOME! I was glad to have leftovers so we could share, and also enjoy the day after. We had the pizza, BBQ meatballs, Buffalo Chicken dip, pretzel bites, and a really nice looking veggie tray. “(Last visited September 20, 2023.) Hanging out in Cleveland, OH on business and it's #WingWednesday! So I did some searching on Yelp to see who's got the best in the area! A place called Characters Bar & Grill kept coming up. So here's how things went!\n\nAtmosphere/Appearance: This place is like... at the EDGE of Cleveland's city limits. Lol. Brookpark Road or something. Once I pulled up it just felt like a nice, neighborhood spot! It does have a private parking lot, big outdoor section (where we sat) and plenty of space on the inside. It's a traditional setup. TVs everywhere, random swag and decor all throughout, plenty of high-top tables for seating and a big bar rail. The energy was lively and the music was so random. Lol. If you've been, you know what I mean.\n\nService: I can't remember the name of who took care of us, but she was funny, sweet and just made sure we had everything that we needed. \n\nFood: While here I was able to try a few wings, so let's begin. First up were the Mike's Sweet Island Heat. For the record, if you order 10 wings, you can split them into 2-5s for an extra $1.00 if you want separate flavors. Also, on the menu there are 3 "types" of sauces that they offer. The first kind are Buffalo based sauces, the 2nd are barbecue based sauces and the last is "other". Lol. Anyway, these looked amazing, were super saucy and were a decent, seemingly normal size. I got lots of good fruity notes and aromatics as I put the wing to my nose. After tasting the flavors carried through with a bold, fruity, rich flavor. There was good spice and it felt like a chipotle based spice. It was a unique flavor for sure that I hadn't tasted before. Next up was Lenny's Honey Sriracha Teriyaki which is a mouthful of a name, but the flavors showed up! It was a good teriyaki base with citrusy lemon flavors that actually made my lips pucker just a bit. These weren't spicy at all, but it was missing something, I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Next up was Chipotle which I was lead to believe would be the hottest sauce on the menu based on it's placement on the menu, but I was wrong. This one did have some GOOD heat to it. The ingredients were balanced very well that created very bold, rich, hearty, chipotle flavors. I really liked this one. Next up were the Mild Buffalo. These were super saucy, juicy and had a very straightforward traditional Buffalo flavor that had some excellent flavor. The bleu cheese to go with these was a creamy, mild sauce that would cool your mouth down if you can't handle the spice. Next up was the XXX Buffalo which is actually the hottest sauce on the menu. The sauce was a bit watery which is a dead giveaway that it wouldn't be as spicy as it claims to be. It was still delicious, but the spice took a while to kick in, but it's nothing to write home about. It was like a kicked up Buffalo.\n\nValue: It's a sports bar, so the food won't be terrible expensive. I was there on Wednesday and wings were $1.00 each. Not bad at all considering how expensive I've see some. They even had $5.00 steaks this night, but I can only imagine them being a Salisbury steak or something. Lol.\n\nIn conclusion, I had a blast here. The food was great, the people are awesome, I felt welcomed and it just felt like a good place to hang out! I look forward to returning and trying some more flavors!“

“Came to get a quick bite. Server was attentive and fast. Got our drink orders and then our food order shortly after. Food came out not long after we ordered. Everything tasted pretty ok. Server refilled our drinks before we were half done with the first one. Checked up on 2-3 times later throughout the meal with one personal greetings from the manager. Overall good service and food from an Applebee.“

“I wanted to give a huge shoutout to the team at Applebee's Grill + Bar (Strongsville, OH)!

After a truly disappointing experience at the Middleburg Heights location, switching to the Strongsville spot was a breath of fresh air. The service here was incredibly fast and responsive. Our server was so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed right away.

It was the polar opposite of my recent visit to the Middleburg Hts location. There, the bartender was incredibly rude and unprofessional—she was literally bashing plates down on our table. Most upsetting was the clear bias we experienced; we could plainly see her acting and talking completely differently to the other tables compared to how she treated us. The lack of basic communication and respect was jarring.

Suggestion: I highly recommend that the Middleburg Heights management conduct a thorough review of their staff’s professional conduct and implement mandatory diversity and sensitivity training. Every guest deserves to feel welcomed, not targeted.

The food was great server did an outstanding job.
