“We were in Cleveland for a concert, and found this little gem upon the recommendation of a very nice woman we met. Our GPS originally took us to the wrong establishment, but we were only a block off and found it quickly after the mix-up. Luis was our server, and not only was he helpful, but he was extremely personable. We will be back - both for the food, and for the warm and welcoming atmosphere therein.“

“What a great experience this is! Some background: I have never been to Cleveland, but i came to visit my BESTIE! She picks me up from the airport and the FIRST place we go is here! She told me we are going to a really cool coffee place. If she says it is...IT IS! And that was an understatement. The atmosphere calls for sitting here FOR HOURS (if i lived here, we would have!). They have books, games, art on the wall. AND THEY HAVE COFFEE!!! Normally, you might say coffee is coffee, but i now call it the Roasted Exception! As soon as we walked in, we were given STELLAR service by this wonderful red-headed (did not know her name) barista. She was friendly, helpful, and quite knowledgeable (and she laughed at my jokes too, which should give her a Nobel for kindness). My first stop in Cleveland was here, where we went to a back room, which had the most charming furniture. I was in such a state of elation being here and the coffee. Although i had the normal drip with cream; it was truly some of the smoothest that i have had. Did not need to re-make what they made for me. My BFF had the decaf oatmilk latte with chocolate, seemingly exceeding her expectations too. We had a great time here and enjoyed the tradition of "doing coffee". I recommend Roasted Lakewood wholeheartedly and would be here all the time if i lived here!! Oh, and bring a BFF like mine too just to enhance the experience!“

“The service was very friendly! The two girls at the front were very nice and patient. I got the large and a lot of the fruit wasn’t sweet at all. Especially the mango! The area to eat is small but cute and there was also a bit of a funny smell like maybe cleaning products but it was off putting. Anyways, I would return based on the good service and the concept of something healthier on the go.“

“I went to Cleveland for my birthday and I love to just walk around new cities and try new coffee shops. We came across this shop and tried it out. I was expecting to get a coffee but a gentleman there stated that I should try to chai tea. Boy, was he ever correct. It had to be the most amazing chai tea I've ever had. It had a very smooth taste, with a nice hint of fresh ground cinnamon on top. Not overly sweet like a desert, but just right. The barista that works there was also very friendly and we chatted a bunch about a lot of cool topics. I definitely recommend it!“

“I come here every year when I go to CL. It is absolutely fantastic. Every time the server is very friendly and kind. We order a make your own bowl and they have countless options to choose from with tags. The food is so so SO tasty and very filling. They have so many smoothies too and they are so good. Everything is a very reasonable and affordable price compared to other trash restaurants like Dunkin and Starbucks which take 6$ for one small drink made up of sugar and ice water. “While The Fruit Bowl is very delicious Be mindful that it is exactly that a delicious fruit bowl with no base. No Acai or other fruit base. I assumed it was a fruit based bowl with toppings of my choice it was only fruit. Delicious Though! And I am not sure why I received waffle bites instead of the crepe I ordered; but I do understand how the demand is these days for restaurant. I just want to share for others that the fruit bowls are fruit only. No base. Maybe unless you choose the bowl that actually says Acai bowl.“

“I get food from here at minimum once a week, typically closer to twice. This is my favorite spot to grab food in Hingetown/Ohio City. You don’t have to be vegan to love their menu. I am never bored, and all of the staff I have interacted with are chill and friendly. Very excited to see what they do in the new space!My favorite menu items are the Blue Juice (recent obsession), the bravocado sandwich, and the Buffalo springpea salad. I love that most of the sandwiches can be a salad as well for the days I don’t want the bread. Best and most filling salads.“

“I called last minute with a request for a 20 person business meeting. Not only was the food ready on time but the owner made sure I didn't over order to spend more than I had to. The portions were very healthy (enough for everyone with some people to have food take home) and everyone loved it !!! “Kafela is a St. Clair-Superior neighborhood gem! This breakfast and lunch cafe gives off such a positive vibe from the moment you walk in. I was greeted not only by a friendly face at the counter, but also many large green plants and sunlight filling the space. All of the menu items are named after locations and nods to sunny Los Angles. I got the Berry Much L.A. smoothie which was delish. I also got the Lavender Love Spell drink, which was lemonade with a lavendar butterfly tea that sparkled! For my meal, I got the chicken ceasar wrap with a side of sweet potato fries. The wrap was good. Classic caesar, although the chicken was well seasoned and I liked that the wrap was partially toasted. The sweet potato fries were delicious. When I inquired about the seasoning on the fries, I was told that they made their own sunshine blend to sprinkle on top. I couldn't place the flavors, but it was amazing! The star of my meal was the deep fried oreos. I wanted to leave with something sweet and these oreos did not disappoint! They had a chocolate drizzle and powdered sugar on top and came with a scoop of vegan vanilla ice cream. Fried oreos are usually only good when they're hot, I ate these cold all throughout the day and enjoyed every bite. The best part of Kafela is seeing how much of a gathering space it's become for people in the neighborhood. There were so many members of the community coming in throughout the time I was there to pick up a smoothie, order lunch, or just say hello and chat with the owner or other patrons. It truly felt like a place you could call home and I loved that.“

“What a nice place to get a delicious smoothie! They have food as well but I got a healthy, banana and pb smoothie. They have enhancements as well, and I just worked out, so naturally I got the muscle builder enhancement which had creatinine and hemp protein to add into the smoothie. They have plenty of options. Dairy and non dairy. It's a clean place. Right off west 25th street. Street parking. And 10% off if your a first time customer!! Nice! Service was fast and the employee was kind. “Me and my girlfriend had a great time here on a Wednesday night. We got there around 10pm and stayed until 11:30pm. We had a pineapple head on our hookah and it hit really well. The staff were attentive and changed out the coals free of charge. We also had a White Claw and a Bud Light. It was served with a chocolate cake desert that was delicious! 5 stars and will be back!“

“Delicious wraps! We got the beet salad bowl, and chicken Caesar wraps on low carb wraps. Warm and just enough dressing in the wrap. Love that they and low carb wrap options. Delicious and quick. Only thing that bummed me out was not child friendly. My 18mo had nowhere to sit as the chairs are metal and light and he could tip over from being the wiggly boy he is. Thankfully I had my stroller with me and put him in there.“

“Okay so there is not enough smoothie Kings around Cleveland Ohio I'm tired of going to Pulp and wanted to try something different so beyond juicery I noticed there are a few around I usually order fresh lemonade from Pope which uses fresh lemons which I really love so beyond juicery does juices but they're lemonade is already pre-made and they just add fruit to it which I do not think that is a fresh lemonade if you are already using a juice that is already made.“

“So to rebut Steve's review, I will say this - EVERY service-oriented organization is having a rough time hiring and retaining GREAT staff. It's the sign of the times we are in. You cannot hold that against anyone or any organization. It is what it is. LaRonda works very hard to attract and hire people who can be trainable, teachable, and coachable in order to prepare them for a future in this industry. It's up to the employee to take the bait and work to better themselves. Every person I've encountered since their opening in 2021 has been professional, courteous and respectful to customers.In terms of food quality - TOP NOTCH! When your food is made FRESH and TO ORDER, you cannot expect to get it in a hurry, although there are many grab-and-go options to choose from if you cannot wait. It's also FIRST COME - FIRST SERVE. You cannot play leap frog and jump the line when there are online and call-ahead orders that need to be filled. If you're pressed for time, go somewhere else. It's sad that this has to be said, but it's horrible to slam a small-minority-owned business for no reason.My experience has been the best! Never had an issue. Food is always the best. Smoothies are delicious. Always courteous and professional. Produce are fresh. Variety to choose from. You can't ask for anything better. I am a daily patron and love the vibe and atmosphere. “I went with family to Lulo for the first time. The decor is nice. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The food is excellent! Between us, we tried the empanadas, churrasco, carne asada and chicken. Everything had flavor. The chicken and meat were juicy and soft. The plates came out just as they are pictured online. Not many places manage that. Our server was attentive. I would definitely recommend to others and go back myself.“
