Gluten-Free Restaurants near Powell, OH

“I recently went to Iacano's for a lunch buffet and dinner. I arrived at 11:30 when they had the buffet. They brought out pepperoni and sausage pizza and pineapple and ham pizza primarily. I think they may have had pepperoni and a cheese pizza. The advantage of the buffet is that you can eat all you want and the soft drink is included in the price. It seemed very slow about how many pizzas were coming out. I had to wait for the pizzas to come out for about four or five minutes. I prefer a buffet that has several pizzas to choose from. Then again, some people ordered subs and had to wait for the order to come out.

The place can seat around 80 people (I am guessing). There were about thirty people there during lunch. I was with a group of eight people. The place is a little cool, so dress warmly. I was good with a shirt, sweatshirt, and sweatpants on. It was also during winter I stopped by.

After eating, I used the restroom. It had less heat than the restaurant. It was clean but not glamorous. The cost of the meal was below $20.00.

The second time I visited was on Monday at 7 pm for dinner. I was with five people and wanted to try the meatball and sausage subs and their meat lovers' pizza. The meatball and sausage subs were comparable. I'd give a little more to the meatball sub. The pizza was what I would expect from a meat lovers pizza. The crust was cooked enough that the slices, which were smaller rectangles, were solid and did not flop around. I like my crust more cooked.

I believe the place is good for families and parties of up to twenty people, but the number of people who can sit at one table would be eight. In both experiences, I could hear everyone talking at the table, so the noise level was an acceptable problem because the food was delicious.

“My Husband and I decided we wanted to go a different route when it came to dessert for our wedding. Instead of cake we decided we wanted to do donuts. The Dipped Donut did an amazing job! The owner and the rest of the staff were amazing to work with. We got to go in and create a dozen donuts to take home a few months prior to the wedding to sample and help us decide what flavors we wanted. This was nice because it allowed us to see how the donuts held up throughout the day. They tasted just as good that night as they did in the morning, they even tasted great still the next day! We ordered 400+ donuts for our wedding day and they were all made fresh that morning and delivered to our venue. The donuts looked beautiful and tasted even better. We received so many complements from our guest. I would highly recommend The dipped Donut for large events or day to day cravings!“

The pizza throwers behind the window were so engaging and my son had a blast watching them make a pizza man face, write in flour, and “accidentally“ throw things at the window. We highly recommend going there. We will return for sure!“

“The ambience is fantastic, great waiting staff. The food was good, but the temperature of the food is barely warm not hot. I like spicy food and I asked them to make mine extra spicy twice that I've been there and both times the flavor is not spicier, it just tastes like they threw a couple peppers in there last minute. So I guess I'm disappointed because I wanted the heat, I wanted the spice and you just don't get it there. But overall, it's a great place to eat.“

“The food is great - we’ve tried most of their pizzas and the antipasti salad is to die for. Unfortunately I can’t speak as highly about the staff. On several occasions, usually on Sundays when they close at 7, I’ve gotten my food close to 7 but NEVER after 7. I’ve placed orders for pick-up at 6:45 and if I wasn’t there at 6:45 on the dot I’ve been called being harassed to get my food because they close at 7. Today I went in at 6:50 and they had already put everything away, taken out the trash, and sanitized everything and gave me lip about wanting to place my order (1 pizza and 1 salad). They proceeded to loudly complain to each other while making my order. Closing at 7 means you stop taking customers at 7 - not that staff gets to walk out the door and lock it behind them at 7.“

Parking: It's located in a newer strip mall and sits on the west side of US 23 probably halfway between Delaware and the road that takes you to Polaris.

“We come to this location every month for a professionals luncheon in their event space upstairs. The team takes such amazing care of us. James is extremely accommodating and always communicates back quickly. Stew always checks in after our lunches to make sure the service was good. “I celebrated my birthday with my children and grandchildren on a busy Saturday night, we had reservations so we got our table instantly. The waitress was very nice. The GF bread is amazing, they knew our party was GF and had it ready which was so kind, not to mention it is my main reason for going there lol. Most of our party is GF due to celiac so we mainly had GF options. I really only have two things to say, the main course comes out very spread out, so people had to wait while other went ahead and ate. They tried to wait but their food was getting cold. Again, it was Saturday and busy, it happens... but three of us had steak, which I believe is the most expensive thing on menu and it was too over cooked, two of our party did not even eat, which made me feel bad. I know it is an Italian restaurant, we should of had pasta. Oh, one more thing, the cheesecake is just okay, I love cheesecake but I only took a couple of bites, no taste, very bland. But our drinks, appetizers and again the bread was amazing. And my grandson, who is a teen and non-GF said his pizza was amazing. We had a nice night, everyone was kind, just annoying that not everyone got to eat their main meal. We will go back for the bread alone, but will stick with the pasta in the future.“

“I love Kitties. I am so happy they are in our neighborhood. The coffee is excellent. They have matcha which is excellent and the baked goods are so incredibly delicious. The only problem is they are really really good. I will buy a delicious scone with the idea of sharing it and I ALWAYS eat the whole thing. It's like I can't stop it is so good. Everyone is nice and helpful and the food and beverages are spectacular.“

“Ordered Shrimp dumplings and Dynamite Shrimp for appetizers. The food good was good but lacked flavor. Not salty but was kind of overpowering.

For main course, ordered Singapore noodles which was good again a bit salty and tasted a bit like raw curry powder. At least one person in the group didn’t think so.
Kung Pao chicken was good but not the same as they used to make it. Just lacked flavor.
We also got the bone in and boneless Korean fried chicken. My vote goes to the bone in chicken. I think the best of all things we ordered.
Service was excellent as always.

“OK I'm glad to see Koreans do the health thing up to a point. No MSG is fab. Is there hfcs? Kale makes me so sick. Yes I'm half Korean, that explains my fickle stomach. Why is there kale in the japchae? And bobimpap is no fun without the Korean side dishes put in the rice bowl- aka. banchan,반찬! Where's the: Seasoned spinach-Sigeumchi-namul 시금치나물 Yellow Radish- Danmuji 단무지 (WITHOUT THE HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP!) Burdock root - ueong, 우엉 Stirfried Anchovies-Myeolchi bokkeum, 멸치볶음 Seaweed - Gim-김 Red snapper would work for a protein! Look at black garlic as a soy sauce sub for people with hypertensive issues. Trumpet mushrooms or enoki mushrooms? Lotus root? Water chestnuts? Marin usually has high fructose corn syrup and that's horrific for your health. By the way, Radish kimchi aka. Kkakdugi, 깍두기 is very well liked by non-Koreans and Koreans. You can make panjeon with red lentil batter instead of wheat flour. Rice paper is another good gluten free ingredient. Then you can serve us in house, seated on the floor sitting on cushions, shoes off on a low table in metal bowls, with metal spoons and chopstics and KTrot or soccer playing on a huge flat screen tv. KTrot, think Ms. Trot on Chosun TV, Golden Oldies on KBS, etc. You're making me homesick! Carpe Diem!“

“When you see a place with a small menu, you know you can pick anything and be satisfied. In this case I had the Thai Burrito and was thoroughly pleased with juicy chicken, delicious veggies and rice, and a fantastic peanut sauce to boot.
