“Please don’t expect this to be “Authentic Chinese Food”. That term tends to be overused when people describe foreign foods. It is a typical Americanized Chinese Buffet heavy on chicken dishes. We eat here several times a year usually without issue. Only one complaint this time. The pot stickers, also known as steamed dumplings were apparently left over from lunch service and were rock hard. They put out fresh ones as we were about to leave so I stayed and had a few, Basic service with basic food at an economical price. What more could you ask for?“

We ordered some of our usual favorites from others and it was love at first bite with their General Chicken, sweet and sour chicken, fried dumplings, fried rice, wanton soup, boneless ribs, and teriyaki chicken. “I was a bit concerned about the negative reviews. I thought the food was delicious. The hot and sour soup is the best we've had. The Mongolian beef and General Tso's chicken were delicious. We don't live anywhere near the restaurant but it would be our go to if we did.“

“They're always friendly and straightforward on the phone. The food tends to take slightly longer than expected sometimes, just by a few minutes but it's always worth it. They've gotten it right every time, even when we had picky, specific people ordering. This has to be the best takeout I've had in my decades of always trying new Chinese takeout restaurants. The food is always fresh and the quality is better than you'd expect, even reheating leftovers, their stuff Hits. The. Spot. Yummy. Love you, Avon China Star!“

“I've been ordering from the China Wok on Cleveland Street since the mid-90's and I don't think I've ever been disappointed with their food or service. Their consistency over the years has been pretty remarkable and their prices have always been good. The people that work there have always been polite and professional. “I've gone to the Panda Express in Avon about five times, food has been ok to just below ok. Enough for me to forget about it's average taste until I stop in six months later. Found this new location, at least new for me, and it's excellent. The three times I've been there in the past four weeks have always been great. Food is has been fresh every time and service is fast and good.“
