With a gluten allergy & highly sensitive to MSG, I made sure to call first and make sure they offered true gluten free items and that they didn’t use MSG. I spoke to the woman who answered the phone for awhile. I asked her all kinds of questions about the food & explained my allergies. I believe the woman I spoke with is the owner. She was extremely kind & helpful, and extremely accommodating. She told me she is also GF & highly sensitive to MSG. We chatted for a bit and she made some meal suggestions, and was happy to customize things. I got to the restaurant and she was just as kind and welcoming in person! We chatted a bit more and then I went home to enjoy my food. The girl behind the counter is always super friendly and sweet. The food is always delicious and the portions are always overflowing. “Cherry Wonderdog gives kudos to King Fong in Cleveland for its generosity and culinary performance last Friday midday. Four of us ordered takeout, and instead of the luncheon special with soup and pork fried rice, we all went with the pint of food with white rice. The portions were plentiful (half of us couldn’t finish), everything was hot, and none of the protein we ordered resembled mystery meat. Nope, everything was legitimate and quite good. Mine was Szechuan chicken while my wife enjoyed her staple dish, cashew nuts. \n\nFor $6.95, we felt there was nothing missing (except, perhaps, the choice to substitute fried rice for an extra $1). In fact, the pricing for the luncheon specials didn’t make much sense, because it seemed to be merely the sum of the pieceparts. Perhaps someone can revisit that. Until then, we’re perfectly happy ordering the pint portions.“

“I LOVE a good little hole in the wall that serves up great food without crazy price tags! I got the spicy beef noodle soup which was huge and delicious and the scallion pancakes which were a little greasy but super crispy and tasty. Everything was so good I got an order of Ma Po Tofu to go which was also nice and flavorful! Nice and spicy, no frills just good food!“

The honey chicken is both of our favorites though and is something not found on a lot of Chinese menus. This has become our regular Chinese restaurant at this point. “The best Chinese food I had in a loooooooong time! I mean takes me back to childhood! 100% AUTHENTIC CHINESE FOOD! The rice 10/10, lo mein 10/10 egg foo young 10/10 and we get everything veggie no meat! My favorite Chinese restaurant !! If you want some old school tasting food this the place to go!

Vegetarian options: Anything on the menu can be vegetarian except dumplings, crab ragoon and stuff like that but you can get veggie fried rice, veggie lo mein, veggie egg foo young veggie egg rolls and they even have general TSO’s tofu which is really good!“

“The food is amazing, I would eat their bbq ribs everyday all day if I could. It is a family business I believe so you get familiar with the staff quickly, they are the sweetest people ever. The food takes only about 15 minutes to be prepared. It’s so much better than any other Chinese takeout I’ve ever had. The prices are reasonable and the portions are quite large. You can eat the leftovers the day after and they still taste amazing. Best place ever in my opinion, they deserve more customers, everyone there works so hard.“

Very friendly service, and the staff are clearly well-liked and respected by local residents. Another great plus is that they're open late. Also, they have a full bar and they sling some excellent cocktails.
