“My husband and I Stopped in randomly after driving past on a Saturday afternoon. We loved it. Sat at the bar. Talked to one of the owners who served up a fantastic cranberry orange margarita! Cozy atmosphere. We shared the breakfast burger with the most perfectly fried hash browns and a side of the Brussel sprouts! No complaints. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend!“

“Wanted to give a quick shoutout to a local business: King’s Tandoor in Solon (close to the movie theater). Coming from the pickiest eater and someone who’s quite difficult to impress; this place is PHENOMENAL. If you enjoy Indian cuisine or want to try, go check this place out! It’s FANTASTIC and their lunch buffet is only $13! Honestly shocked at how incredible my experience was. “The bar manager, Olivia, was incredible. The bartender/s erver, Evan, working with her was also superb. Drinks were balanced in a way that left no complaints, and the service was friendly, as if I had known them prior to our experience. I won’t post anything in detail about the establishment (keeping it a true speak easy) but I will be talking about it to everyone who will listen. I will definitely be back.“

The bartender was friendly enough and the drink selections sounded surprisingly complex and sophisticated. I tried a couple and they were both quite good. A far more high end cocktail stop than what we expected. We didn't get a chance to try out their food offerings. Next time.“

“I've been going to this place since the late 1980s. I know they've had different owners. Jack the most recent owner is a good guy. I'm not much of a drinker, he always welcomed me in. It's a fun place! Nostalgic! The ultimate local neighborhood bar!“

“I had never been to Black Forest before - no reason, just hadn't. But when they placed 3rd in the Best Burger contest last week, I had to check it out. Met the mighty Francis McGarry for a sales meeting and dinner. They were NOT lying about the burger - FANtastic. Staff were friendly and the owner stopped by and chatted. Bingo in the next room had the place packed, but it wasn't loud - they just sounded like they were having a blast. I Highly Recommend Black Forest for great food, and great people. My only regret is that we live 10 hours away so going back and sampling all the other menu choices is problematic. Highly recommend!“
