The chicken and biscuits from Raise the Roost inside the 7-Eleven on Newtown Road and Providence are, by far, the worst I've ever had. The chicken was either overcooked and dry, with burnt outsides and —likely due to improper fryer temperatures or incorrect timer settings. The coating was thick and cakey, indicating poor preparation. Even the green beans had no seasoning or taste. I recommend not using salt if you decide to season. Easy to order, fast, reasonably priced and delicious. This was a very well managed and operated location. Very clean, friendly helpful employees.
This small chicken wing store is located inside the Speedway gas station at the halfway between Columbus and Dayton. It is a good rest area for me while driving. Their chicken wings are cheap and crispy but a little dry.
