“The restaurant was 95% empty when I arrived at 6:00pm which was a surprise to me. Our server was friendly and got us everything we needed.

Vegetarian options: There are definitely vegetarian options and the ability to modify entrees with meat.

Parking: Tons of parking in their parking lot.

“I will be honest, I haven’t eaten there yet but just had the greatest experience that restored my faith in humanity just a little bit. I was in the Akron area for training with TNVC and I assume my iPad was stolen. Today it pinged at someone’s house and then it pinged in the parking lot of the Basement a few hours after I locked it and left a message for the would be thief. I called and spoke with Stephanie, and after explaining what had happened she was king enough to walk to the parking lot while I pinged it. The thief had dumped my iPad in the dumpster, thankfully not too deep. I just wanted to say that Stephanie was amazing for being such a good person and helping someone with no expectation of receiving anything in return. Next time my family and I are in the Akron/waterloo area I will make sure I patronize The Basement if only to help repay a bit of the kindness shown! This is how a neighborhood restaurant does it!“

Friendly people an staff. Very clean. Just like I remembered. Good job to all involved in this place. Shout out to their pool team. I knew we where gonna have to earn every win. Look forward to returning. On of Akron's best bars as far as I'm concerned.“

“I recently found Manny's been going there now for about 3 months what a friendly little hometown bar and they have karaoke twice a week and the man that runs that is awesome so if you're looking for a little karaoke fun go down to Manny's give your name to Johan he will get you up to sing and it's almost a guaranteed good time really loving this place be back in there again this Friday night. “It's a college bar. Not much more to say about that.Not to bad on weekdays. Its a nice bar to stop and have a drink after work. And maybe shoot gave a pool. Dont try to play pool though on the weekends when the college kids are in. Because they use it as a table to sit on and put drinks on and spill things on and lay down and take a nap on and puke on.“

“Was driving back up from some activities when I got a real hankering for some classics. Called in and the person on takeout was extremely helpful(and patient) with my order and answering all my questions. Two of the new BIG Bangin Burgers, loaded mashed potatos(extra scallions) and a thing of mozzy sticks got me another 300 miles without stopping. Next time I'll make sure to grab some of the margarita's, from the description they are worth it!“

“alright applebees you guys out done yourselves the o-my-cheese burger without bacon and the spicy honey mustard, i got regular honey mustard as a dipping sauce for the burger was o-my-azing the only micro issue i had was no pink burger like i ordered but in all honesty i dont really care its 50/10 im not even gonna complain about not having a pink patty the fries were cooked to perfection i couldnt ask for a better meal applebees needs to keep this burger on the menu permanantly the cheese was so gooey and warm it was baked to the burger if your a cheese lover like i am id order this burger i jumped on the cheese train and it blew my whistle to cheese town thats how amazing this meal was id love nothing more than to order this sandwhich the next time i come back“

“we came in last night for Tuesday night trivia. I got the wings, double grilled with hot pants Kaluger. They were HUGE and cooked to perfection with a nice char. we also got a BYO Pizza well done and it was delicious. I was already planning on coming back for the trivia, but now Im coming back for the trivia AND food. our server Riley was also really great and kept our drinks full all night.“
