Wonderful. If you want hot dogs and chilimac like 50 years ago go to ideal. Beats Rudy's hands down.
Well I usually drive 40+ miles for chilimac which I did yesterday. It was disappointing to find they changed the recipe and it does not taste as good. Don't waste your time if you want chilimac. Ideal Hotdog is a great place for a good meal with amazing chili Mac and hotdogs. The customer service is top-notch, with servers who are accommodating and upbeat. The restaurant has a loyal following, with customers returning multiple times due to the delicious food and pleasant experience. The signature sauce is a must-try, and visitors are sure to enjoy the tasty meals and quiet atmosphere. This cute and quaint restaurant is a Toledo staple you won't want to miss. The staff are absolutely wonderful and welcoming, making you feel like family. The food is phenomenal and a go-to for date night. Chili Mac is the best, however omelettes are also fantastic. Sometimes a bowl of soup and a grilled cheese on rye makes a great comfort lunch or dinner. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, flat from the parking lot to the table, tight but great for seniors and those with mobility challenges. Everything is excellent, with very fair pricing.
