“Update: Although this is a nice place with a quaint interior vibe, the price of wine is now exorbitantly priced. We’re not penny-pinchers, but we typically do at least a bottle, so it makes sense to go to other better alternatives in the same area. Additionally, my favorite crab cake appetizer was down-sized and is just a little disappointing. Service is not consistent. My original review is below:

Cute winery atmosphere with great food and service. The crab cake appetizer is recommended. It’s garnished with corn, which is a bit odd, so maybe leave that off. Great selection of wines, of course. There’s patio seating along Lane Ave when the weather is nice and convenient parking in the rear.“

“I took my 22-year-old son to the meadery for his birthday. Not only did we get special tastings we got the history and knowledge of how this small business came to be. Our bartender was incredibly knowledgeable, had a very inviting personality and to top it all off he makes amazing mead!!! Be careful everyone it's got more alcohol content than I'm used to and it's crap up on me pretty quick LOL!!!!“

Exactly what you want in a neighborhood brewery—a perfect variety of drinkable, staple brews that suit all tastes. On a hot summer evening though, I would’ve loved to see a frosted glass option—the beer warmed up a little too fast for my liking. We ordered the giant pretzel, which definitely delivered on size! The beer cheese was decent, but we were hoping for a bit more creativity or a “mystery dip” option to spice it up. Also… just give us one good cup of cheese with it instead of making everyone upgrade for a second portion. Small thing, but it stood out. As the sun set, the whole place started to feel like something out of a movie. Couples celebrating engagements, friends laughing over cornhole in the corner, and a casual, easy energy. The only thing missing? Some live music, especially for a Saturday night. 🎶 We found ourselves lost in conversation… time honestly stood still. It felt both lively and private, which is a rare combo these days. If I had one other piece of feedback, it’d be for a slightly bigger food menu and maybe a kiddo cut-off time around 7 PM, just so the evening crowd can fully settle into adult mode. “We went for Valentine’s Day and it was very nice! Definitely perfect for a special occasion. We got the bread, king crab pasta, and lasagna rotolo. We finished with the tiramisu. Everything was great and service was exceptional. They also gave us some chocolates for Valentine’s Day. I thought they could’ve had more options as far as cocktails but actually super enjoyed the margarita. We had a great time!“

“Just had their newest addition to the high quality menu. The generous portion could easily be a shareable for two or a great lunch tomorrow. “Khaab Indian Kitchen and Bar is truly a hidden gem in Bexley! Their lunch buffet is hands down the best around: fresh, flavorful, and packed with variety. What makes it even better is that they offer the buffet to-go, which I’ve already taken advantage of when I didn’t have time to sit down.

I first dined in at their buffet this past Sunday and was so impressed that I went back the next two days for takeout! Each time, the food somehow tasted even better than before! The atmosphere is calm, clean, and relaxing, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel like family. Everyone from the host to the manager is so kind, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant.

As for the food, it’s seasoned to perfection! So far, I’ve enjoyed a wide variety: chicken biryani, chicken curry, chicken 65, orange chicken, aloo cabbage, aloo choley, tandoori chicken, garlic naan, saag paneer, bhatura, chili chicken, tikka masala, lamb rogan josh, fish amritsari and Hariyali (which I tried for the first time and am now a lifelong fan). Hopefully they put it on the menu, as I found out today it was just a random surprise for the buffet today. Each dish is bursting with authentic flavor and cooked with care.

I honestly cannot say enough kind words about this place. Between the warm hospitality, relaxing atmosphere, and consistently incredible food, Khaab Indian Kitchen and Bar has quickly become one of my favorite spots. I just hope they don’t get tired of seeing me, because I’ll be back again and again!“

“Went to Speck on a whim tonight after hearing only good things and I wasn't disappointed. The moment I walked in, the atmosphere was upbeat with a good din of conversation, but not overwhelming. I was seated at the Chef's Counter which gave an excellent view of the open kitchen. I started with the focaccia which is served with a delicious herb oil. The bread was super soft and pleasantly salty. For my main I got the Funghi pasta with occhi, white wine & crema, and fresh herbs as well as the Scallops served with a spicy yam risotto. The scallops were well cooked and the risotto was not-too-spicy and the pancetta gave it an addictive saltiness. However, the pasta was absolutely delicious and my top-pick. It was earthy, creamy, and the mushrooms gave it a great texture. The herbs also gave it a vibrant green (which, obviously means the pasta was healthy, right?). As I packed up, I ordered the Lemon Cookies to-go and was surprised with a delectable pair of mini cannoli with chocolate and raspberries as a gift from the kitchen. My waiter, Ethan, was attentive and friendly and gave some great recommendations. The next time I have someone I'd like to impress, I'm definitely keeping Speck high on the list. Can't wait to go back.“

I had the Oysters on the half shell (large plump, meaty, not gritty), King Crab legs (sweet, firm), Lobster tail (South African, cold water tail - large, plump, sweet, tender, juicy), Clam chowder (average, but good). My partner (not the seafoodie) opted for chicken fingers and fries. We loved the casual (not posh/stuffy) vibe. Emma was on top of EVERYTHING even having a few other table near us. She was not pushy in regard to time or up-selling. All of our requests were fulfilled. The dinner from course to course was timed perfectly. Winward Passage even provided a couple elements we haven't experienced in quite a while.“

“My husband and I recently visited Dos Hermanos (in Easton) for our weekly date night, and let me tell you, it was hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had in a long, long time. After living in Columbus for over 3 years (and searching high & low), I had come to the sad conclusion that there were no good authentic Mexican restaurants in thus city — that was, until I stepped foot into Dos Hermanos. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with hot chips and fresh, flavorful salsa that set the tone for the rest of our meal. The menu features a wide range of authentic Mexican dishes at reasonable prices. My husband and I tried the queso blanco, street tacos, Birria tacos, and churros. Each dish was flavourful, hot, and super fresh. My personal favorite were the Birria tacos — every bite was packed with the right balance of spices and tenderness. I am very picky when it comes to restaurants, especially Mexican, and let me tell you; if you like flavor (not just salt…), this is the place for you! The food wasn’t all that impressed us — the wait staff was equally fantastic. Our waitress, Megan, was an absolute superstar. She was attentive, friendly, and made our experience very enjoyable. The restaurant was clean, and well staffed— a true hidden gem. After our first visit, we couldn’t resist going back again (only 2 weeks later), and I’m happy to report that the experience was just as perfect as before. No doubt about it, Dos Hermanos deserves a solid 5 out of 5 stars. My search for a fantastic Mexican restaurant in Columbus is officially over! If you also have been tirelessly searching for a truly good Mexican restaurant, this is the place!“

“Went there (from out of town) to celebrate an amazing Arnold Expo experience -- my first time. The valet was free -- extremely fast and convenient. The host noticed the reservation --- immediately brought us to our table, without any type of delay.
The menu was clear and easy to pick. We all got the three-part dinner. Steak, mashed potatoes, a vegetable, and dessert. Very delicious filets and tender and juicy. They have a large wine selection too. After we had the bread and butter and our meals we were treated to scrumptious deserts. I also ordered crème brûlée and it was delicious!! All in all a great night and perfect meal!“
