Based on the reviews, Rudy's Bar & Grill in Vermilion, Ohio is a must try. It is the best example of bar food done to perfection, with quality, portions, drinks, price, and service all hitting the mark. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. One guest ordered takeout around 10pm while fishing on a Friday night; the cook came out to cash them out so they didn't have to wait, and the food was hot and tasted great. The chili is great, and the railway or railroad burger was good and tasted charcoal grilled. The chili dog and potato salad are absolutely delicious, with the best all-beef hot dog and a grilled bun that held it all together. The homemade potato salad is so creamy and good. The crab cake sandwich was phenomenal, and the rosemary truffle wings were perfectly cooked with an indescribable sauce. The simple but delicious bloody mary is a highlight, as is the white peach sangria. The atmosphere has a relaxed home feel, though it can be a bit loud during a game. Taco night is also good and a great price. Guests will definitely stop in every time they come through Vermilion.
