“Excellent breakfast! Great service! Friendly staff! We will definitely be going back😁”
“Beautiful autumn Saturday afternoon—perfect for caramel apple slushies and wood fired pizza at Merry Family Winery in Bidwell, Ohio.
The slushies are made with both their Sweet Granny Smith and Liberty Apple Wines.
Eddie got a Mountain Dew (his signature drink) since he’s driving but I got a slushie and a flight of the Mothman Legend, Homestead Red, and Zinfully Merry. All three were Gwen-worthy, which is saying a lot since my palate is still acclimated to Amador County Zinfandels. I have a hard time finding wines I like out here.
I went home a Mothman Legend (the last bottle with the old label) for me and a Zinfully Merry for Eddie. Hes not much of a drinker, but if he ever wants to join me with a glass on the back porch, he likes white Zinfandel.
I thoroughly enjoyed my slushie and wine flight, and we both liked the Hawaiian pizza.
Merry Family Winery is located at 2376 OH-850 in Bidwell, Ohio, down the road from Gallipolis.

“It's a nice place. Not the cheapest, but nice. Rio needs a slightly fancy place to eat. If Kali's would add some seating and atmosphere, the prices would make sense. Still good overall.”

“Did a late stop tonight. The young lady with long blonde hair deserves some recognition! Very professional and polite, greeted with a smile and the subs were made very well and delicious!”

“The Bob Evans farm festival was wonderful! So much to do and so many vendors to browse. The museum and log cabin village were awesome. The entire farm is beautiful.”

“While the milkshakes were on point, the food was ok. Coney dog was really salty and sauce had little flavor. The cheeseburger was better and the fried spicy pickles were good, although not all that spicy. Overall it's a town ice cream/diner spot that was busy both times we visited, so it's popular with the area folks. The one thing we noticed though is the staff all looked and acted like they'd rather be anywhere else. For a milkshake, definitely go! For atmosphere I would recommend elsewhere.”

“Made a stop for gas and few miles away and needed better food than burgers etc.
At the time, this location was slightly inconvenient and just 'another' Subway until we got inside.
Once inside, visually, it was Subway. What made this Subway stand out was the service.
The gentleman behind the counter was patient and very courteous. My stop was 8 hours into a 17 hour drive and his politeness and frankly, hospitality was very much appreciated.
The sandwiches were great, but it was the customer service that stands out for me.
Great experience and thanks again.”

“If you are in between Athens/Rio Grande definitely go here, their drinks and food are excellent. If you are want to just go there for just dinner and drinks they have a building for that. If you just want to go there to rave, guess what they have a building for that also, plus an awesome outdoor deck where you can play pool!! Literally the only bar/restuarant in rio grande except for bob Evans”
