“I love this place! My favorite is the Roughrider in a M or L! The service is wonderful and the workers are nice! ?Parking: Nice area.Kid-friendliness: There's positive stuff for kids to learn from.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp.”
“1st time visiting while in area happened to be for their Halloween party. Staff was super nice, friendly, and helpful. Can see why this place has many regulars. Wine is really good and they have something for everyone along with a variety of beers. Live music was great and not too loud. This is a really fun place. We'll definitely be back.”
“When you walk in, you hear straight to the bar, place your order (drink and/or food), then you take wooden number, seat yourself wherever you want, and they bring you your food & drinks.I can’t say enough good things about this place!!! The two bartenders run the whole show… they’re friendly and knowledgeable- we felt like we’d been coming here our whole lives. Great food, live music, cozy & unique atmosphere! In an old elevator mill with loads of history.Clean, plenty of parking, ramps instead of stairs everywhere. There’s only two private bathrooms, sometimes have to wait to go in one.Parking: Easy entrance, gravel parking and plenty of it!Kid-friendliness: It’s the perfect balance of a cozy bar but very family friendly prior to about 9:30/10!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps leading into the restaurant and from one section to the next!”
“Great venue and good beers. Plenty of outdoor space to relax at, with multiple seating areas and firepits. Nice and cozy insde too. It is truly a kick back and relax atmosphere to get away from any hustle and bustle. Chatted with the owners and brewer, great guys who are passionate about what they do. They provide some munchies, and food trucks are occasionally there. Very kid friendly!”
“Quaint little bar with great food and terrific service! Make sure to check this place out!Kid-friendliness: Crayons and coloring books for kiddos as well as food geared towards they're liking :)”
“Made a lunch stop while enjoying a road trip around Ohio. Ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger looked like it belonged in a TV commercial. The fries were hot and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Followed up the burger with a creamy cup of butter pecan ice cream. I do recommend Poppy's Barnyard if you are in the mood for a burger, fries, and ice cream!Kid-friendliness: There was an interactive feature for kids that played barnyard animal sounds.”
“A quaint winery in wakeman, they have a very good variety of sweet and dry wine and let's not forget they have ice wine. Very nice place in door and out door”
“This is the best place in town to check out, the bar tender ASHLEY is the ?, me and my coworkers met her at a lil lunch spot, she invited us to her job and we pulled up later on that day and once we went in the folks in the building made our welcome feel like we all known one another for a long time..... Oh yeah pool shooters be ready to play #MIKE & his woman ?..... Thanks Ohio for the great time..”
“I recently got a job inside Wakeman.... first time ordering. I wasn't feeling good. Ordered soup for my lunch break... drove up there (forgot my wallet at work) they let me take the soup... with JUST my word, that'd I'd come back the next day to pay. (And yes I went back and paid!)But I couldn't believe it... even as I was eating it... it didn't feel real. I'm so thankful! And yes the soup made me feel better”
“This has been one of THE BEST Subway restaurants I’ve visited in Ohio so far. That is, after my beautiful little town’s one here in Oberlin.Everything was so nice and fresh!Clean and welcoming!SHOUT OUT to Ms. Adrianna and Ms. Jan (I’m sorry I didn’t get the other employee’s name, a very nice gentleman) for treating me with such kindness. So friendly and pleasing!Keep up the great work!Happy New Year!”
“Been around for 20 plus years. A great staff and the delivery is on point. Treat yourself and the family did some East of Chicago.Parking: A whole parking lot across the street with closer parking on the street on both front and side of building.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kid activities throughout the year. Especially Halloween. Thanksgiving and Christmas they always do stuff for the kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible”
“A great place to go meet new people or catch-up with someone you knew. Have a drink in a nice atmosphere. Get a bite to eat from there menu with daily specials that won't empty your pocket but will fill your bellies. Add it to your list of places to explore.”
“Everything I have had here so far has been wonderful. My favorite menu item is the basket burger. The perfectly grilled burger topped with the special sauce is so good! The friendly workers and owner make this the perfect addition to our small town.”
“Such a fun way to spend a weekday off! Great food and wine followed by “pick your own” apples at the BEST orchard in town….and who doesn’t love a bonus Golden retriever party ? ?”
“For as much as people rave about this place, my state was mediocre at best. I ordered the Delmonico medium and it was very much medium rare to rare. My son ordered the ribeye medium rare in his was medium well. Neither of our stakes were tender. We visited on a Sunday night and there was a wait to get in for a seat. It was very loud inside. decor was dated. I go to steakhouses to get a good steak. I could have gone to Texas Roadhouse and gotten a better quality and better tasting steak for less money.”
“Didn't eat there so I can't rate the food but the cider's were outstanding. Can't wait to go back in the summer time to enjoy some cider and sunshine. There is also a small market attached to the Ciderhouse with some really interesting items.”
“Little pricey but I guess it's a fancy place. Food was pretty good but your typical expectation for Italian. Withers m waitress was very prompt and entertained all of our questions well. Nice place to eat.”
“I Love their pizza and subs; just tried their burger and it was fabulous! Tuesdays the burgers are $11. You can also get hot pizza by the slice next door at Country Breeze, as well as whole pizzas you can cook at home. To digress, you can also get hot chicken tenders etc at Country Breeze.”
“Best establishment East of the Mississippi River. Took my wife here for our wedding anniversary. We shared some Busch beers over a few bags of salt n vinegar chips. I even gave her 3 dollars to put in the jukebox as an anniversary gift.”
“Trainwreck Tavern: Oh my GOODNESS! The Philly cheesesteak is amazing and the hot pepper cheese balls are good too! Barb was a very friendly server with that lovely small town feel! We don’t live close, but we’ll be coming back.”

“Great little hometown bar with delicious food! Im a coleslaw snob lol. This one rates in my top 5!YUM! The Reuben? GREAT FRIENDLY service. This was my first time eating inside. We usually love to frequent the great dog friendly patio in the summer.”
“Good food cold. It took an hour and a half for delivery after they said 30 minutes. Slapped extra sauce on top because it sat for an hour in the sore and dried out. Didn't offer anything off for the inconvenience. Just list a good customer. Hope they treat customers better in the future.”
“If I were ever to picture me having a bar this would be it. I'm disappointed in myself driving past it multiple times wishing I had stopped in. I'm glad I did when I was taking the Harley on 6 and from there on out this will be a go-to destination.”
“This is a small local place a bit far from Cedar Point but not a chain. It came recommended to us by a server at another place and she was not wrong. My companion had the lobster bisque and chicken wings. Both were excellent and slightly larger than average. He had the honey BBQ sauce and was delighted. The bisque was too tomatoey for me, but very good. I had the Lake Erie perch dinner and it was great! I think the corn meal beading made it lighter and crunchier than others. The coleslaw was terrific and while the fries were not my style (shoestring all the way for me) they were very good. Service was great even though three tables, a total of 14 people walked in just after we did.”
“I ordered a cherry dip for my daughter and a large order of cheese curds and waited about 4 or 5 minutes. Was greeted by a very nice young lady named Kaylee who was very sweet. I normally don't leave reviews for good service but that young lady was so polite. I always come here and this time I wasn't disappointed by the staff.”
“Love this place! I come here often. The ice cream is delicious, home made, hand packed (or soft serve) in flavors and combinations no one else has. They even sell ice cream pies! Friendly staff- super friendly staff. Some seating outside too. Great potion sizes too! I especially recommend the cyclone, if you want to try something unique! Super cute decor inside and out. Just charming, and SO delicious!”
