Large menu with butterburgers, fried seafood items, sandwiches and a variety of sides including cheese curds, pretzel bites, steamed veggies etc.
Frozen custard has its own menu too - as is, in a mixer, float etc. Had a small 2- toppings - too much for me and very sweet.

Pricing got confusing for me but was explained patiently by an employee - burger and fries have a combined price, prime sides have additional charge, drink has a price. Very friendly staff.
After ordering, got a number for our table and food was brought to us.
We liked the food. Wisconsin burger was not salty, not heavy/greasy. Fish sandwich too. Self-serve fountain drinks - they have their brand rootbeer but tasted similar to other brands.

“We visited on a Monday in mid-April 2025 for lunch.

This was a typical zoo restaurant. It's a grab and go. There are prepared foods on the side, both hot and cold. There are customizable stuff behind the counter and made to order. Expect it to be overpriced.

The loaded mac and cheese wasn't bad. The young lady behind the counter was making it for us when an older man (who I assume to be a manager) walked by and told her she was putting TOO much toppings in the mac and cheese so she stopped mid scoop with the bacon.

We got chicken tenders and fries which were both fine. We also got the prepared cobb salad. The lettuce on top looked fine but once we opened it and dug deeper, the lettuce were the harder and thicker stalks and more discolored. We still ate it because we were hungry but it did not look super fresh or maybe the salad sat too long in the back before packing it.

We also got the chocolate pudding and the jello. We all agreed the gummy worms in the chocolate pudding had a weird taste and off putting. The texture was also strange and unfortunately a lot of the flavor had leached into the pudding. The jello however was fine and those gummies were normal.

Condiments you grab on your own, self serve.

Cashier was nice and asked if we had membership, which we did and gave us the additional discount. It's nice when they ask because I forget sometimes with all the craziness going on.

The restaurant it self wasn't packed but there were 4 or 5 other groups in there with us. The place also was very clean and new looking. Not sure when this placed opened or renovated but it was very clean and modern. There are no tables to eat inside so we went outside to find a seat. There were no tables in the Kid's play place or neighborhood area so we walked around to where the hippo statues were to eat.

Even though the zoo website says no outside food, we were never searched and I swear almost EVERYONE we saw at the picnic tables had brought food in. Maybe it was locals who knew vs tourist. You can always leave and eat food in your car but it's just so inconvenient.“

It started as overpriced and took nearly an hour to get your food, and now there is more options available, like pizza, pasta, burgers, salads, and more. It is also a lot cheaper, taking meal swipes for those on campus. It's still a bit dated, but overall quite enjoyable for campus dining now“

“Back in 2019, I worked at The Toledo Yacht Club, and Saba's was located inside. Their food is absolutely amazing, reasonably priced, and the service is above and beyond. We've celebrated Wedding dinner, Father's Day, Birthday, and even Valentines Day with them. They literally are the Royalty of Toledo Restaurants. Try them today, you will not be disappointed“

“Living in Michigan we do not have Waffle House and I have been wanting to try Waffle House after hearing so many great stories. This past weekend we were in Dayton Ohio. We stopped at the Waffle House in Bowling Green OH for breakfast on our way to Dayton. When we walked in we were greated by locals and waitstaff. The vibe was so friendly. The minute we sat down Brooke our waitress came to take our order. The All Star breakfast was great. Love the hash browns and the waffle was so flavorful and fluffy. They even made fresh DeCaf Coffee for me. Waffle house was a delicious treat. On our way back home on Monday we stopped again for breafast and Brooke was our waitress again! This time I tried a biscuit egg sandwich. Best Bisquick ever. Thank you Brooke for a great Waffle House Experience and to all the staff and customers who make Waffle House special. “The service let us down on this visit. We arrived for dinner at 7:30 p.m. It took longer than usual for our server to present herself, and then to bring our drinks to the table. I ordered the sharable Biscuit Beignets, and somehow, I think they got added to our order as Fried Okra. By the time I got them, they were for dessert! I'm not sure it was a misunderstanding or not, but my order for an unsweet tea was delivered as a sweet tea. That happens. No biggy. Yet, it took far too long for the replacement to be at my table. My wife asked for some additional ranch for her salad, and by the time it came out it was time to go. I have no complaints about the food. I love the Maple Bacon Chicken dinner. I love that plate! My wife had meatloaf, and all the food met our expectations. This restaurant has some issues in the service sector.“

The atmosphere was nice, except for the ugly picture if the Big Nut I had to see the whole time. The outdoor seating area looked nice too but was way too hot to sit outdoors that evening.“

“12/14/24 The place I usually get Fried rice was closed. Googled Chinese restaurant and pick BM's because of 4.5 rating. I see why it has that rating.
