Shmucker's is everything I expected and more. Amazing retro diner atmosphere that is authentic and original. Almost like walking back in time. It was packed when we arrived just after 1pm but we were able to get a seat at the bar which would have been my choice anyway. They have old school stools that really makes you feel the diner experience.I ordered a hot dog and a burger with chips. The g.f. ordered the burger with fries. Everything was amazing, great dinner homestyle smash burger which paired perfectly with the hot dog. Had a few of the g.f.'s fries. They were fresh cut and delicious.Best part about the meal was the pie (which is what they are famous for). I ordered the Buckeye pie which was amazing. “I love Coopers Hawk! My girlfriends and I go there probably 3-4 times a month. We have always had great food and service. Lately we have been sitting at the bar and let’s just say the service is not what you get at a table. Took 3 hrs for them to remove dirty dishes from the people that sat there before us. We had to move it out of our way so they could serve us. But the bartender didn’t take the dirty plates, even after bring us out new food!The manager came behind the bar smiled and walked right past the dirty plates pile as well ?. I have bartended and served the majority of my life and I couldn’t believe it. We have been back since then and it seems like the bartender’s are torn between getting server drink orders and taking care of the guests sitting at the bar. 2 bartenders taking care of the servers orders and we had to keep flagging someone down to get a drink and food, silverware. I am hopeful new training or procedures for the bar area will fix this one issue. Otherwise I love this place!“

It was absolutely the best French toast we ever had!! So much so my husband and I shared it and I ordered a ham and cheese omelette (which was delish as well). My husband got Jimmy’s omelette, which he loved. We both loved our meals so much that we literally came back the next day for the same thing.
