15 Best Barbeque Restaurants in Toledo

“If only Detroit had a BBQ restaurant as good as this one. I've tried a handful of items but always go back to the pulled pork platter, the pork being properly smoked low and slow with a nice bark on it. The sauces are also very tasty, not overpowering the meat (and thankfully, not out of a bottle like at the chain restaurants). The sides are also quite good; the macaroni and cheese is a nice pile of artery-clogging goodness! Can't go wrong here. We always stop in when visiting the Toledo Zoo.“

“TLDR: great food and drinks and decent atmosphere(:Granted we were sitting at the bar so service was quick for us pretty much automatically. Their animal style fries are super yummy, coming from a Cali native, they were WAAAAY better than In-n-Out's trash fries lolHad 2 shots: frosted animal cracker(yum!) and Pen*s Shot or something like that, which was also really good.Atmosphere was alright. Some cover band and a good amount of middle aged people maybe 40s and up. Hilarious enough one side was fuuull of clearly the older generation and then the other side was all 20s and 30 year olds haha. For a Friday night it was pretty mellow but I was also only there til like 1030. Most definitely will be back(: ?“

“This place is amazing. Had never had it before. They were at my work today and let me tell you what. Talk about a killer lunch. I had the ribs with baked beans and Mac and cheese. Ribs are bomb. The hot sauce that you can get on them, definitely wanna get that. Mac and cheese was very cheesy and wasn’t dry like others. I can’t wait to try more!“

“The guys at the Port of Toledo recommend this little place with a drive through and a walk up window that was directly on my route to the port. The gentleman who waited on me said their rib sammich was "fall off the bone" tender.....he told the truth. The onion rings were the bomb as well as the deep fried mushrooms. YUM.....!!!!“

“I haven’t been here in a few years because I felt like they had fallen off a bit but this is my 2nd time getting the mixed meat salad and they did not disappoint!! Salad is delicious, fresh and they don’t skimp on ingredients. I also was running late for work and they got my order together quickly! Don’t know if they have new owners, a new cook or what but they are back to my go to for salads!“

“Jed’s definitely gets a 5stairs across the board from me. The waitresses and owners are very friendly. It’s the sides for me . Always hot and portion size definitely a ten. And by far the cleanest restaurant I have been into. If you are in the neighborhood stop in and enjoy a game two.“

“Weekday evening about 7:00 PM or so. I had ribs; wife had chicken tenders. Both tasted great, perfectly cooked; more than just adequate portions. Waitress Lisa was great; made sure we were taken care of without hovering. I like to kid, and Lisa had a great sense of humor. Overall very pleasant evening.“
