“This place was extremely busy so service was extremely slow. Not their fault though because they were running. Everyone was very friendly and was trying to be accommodating. I got the burnt ends and baked beans. I won't get the burnt ends again because they were all fat. My friend got the mac and cheese and it was delicious. I would probably go back and just get something different.“

“This guy named Alan wouldn’t talk to me “because they were busy” I was going through a depression episode and thought about jumping off a bridge. Alan would’ve made me not jump off a bridge if we talked. Now I’m in the hospital. I’m never calling happys pizza ever again.

“I ordered catering from Satchels twice in the past month. Fabulous both times. Loved the pulled chicken and brisket. Mac and cheese and potato salad were great. Baked beans are the best I've ever had. Coleslaw was chunky and healthy. Can't wait for another reason to order.“

“Being the job that I have and traveling as much as I do around Brighton and surrounding cities I try to try a new place for lunch as often as I can. Today I'm down in the westside of Ann Arbor and this new restaurant Ricewood BBQ, OH MY GOD!!! On the recommendation of the lady behind the counter I got the Brisket bowl with sesame cucumbers, pickled onions and the spice was medium. A "real", in my opinion BBQ place, you even smell the smoke from the wood smoker walking up. I went to the one on North Maple and by far the best lunch I've had all summer!!!“

“Slows now inhabits what used to be Blue Tractor's... which was nice... but out of the 14yrs I've lived in Ann Arbor, I only visited 3x and once was because a friend asked for it. It wasn't bad... but it didn't stand out, like now it does as Slows. The food REALLY stands out... the only thing keeping this place from putting Satchel's out of business is how tender they make the meat... it's definitely not bad but not quite as tender as Satchel's. The overall taste and tenderness is on par with your typical popular Texan BBQ restaurants, but up North. The BBQ sauce collection is really nice... the flavor is dead on, though I wish sauce like the North Carolina one would be a little thicker... but the flavor is fantastic! The thing that really makes this place stand out is hands down the sides! This place has sides literally like nowhere else. Between my wife and I we got 4 sides combined and I can't even explain how good all of them are! It's literally an order of magnitude above the second best sides I've ever had in all the BBQ restaurants I've ever been in. We're talking about the green beans to the mashed sweet potato... I really can't imagine how they can make all their sides that good. I'm definitely coming back to experience all the other sides. I can definitely tell the people behind the kitchen absolutely put all their soul into making this place unique and amazing... so if you are reading this: just give those meat a tad more time... thicken up those BBQ sauces and you guys will become unstoppable!“

“The restaurant itself is beautiful. We have been to the downtown Detroit location and decided to give the Ann Arbor location a try. We were not disappointed! We went for our anniversary and our waiter Ivan made our night out so special! He was very attentive, engaging and genuinely pleasant! The food is amazing, the variety of meats that are offered is great, and there are so many interesting dishes within the salad buffet. Thank you for such a great evening, we will absolutely be back!“

“My favorite pizza place. I live in ypsi, 15 minutes away. The ride is so convenient and the food is always ready right when we get there. The staff is so friendly and knows us and our usual; the BBQ chicken pizza that none other can compare tin my opinion. it’s all ways crispy, well coated, and taste amazing. The BBQ from this place is to die for I could eat is on anything. I miss the popcorn chicken tho those were so crispy and the little spice was amazing.

Vegetarian options: Cauliflower crust, veggie pizza, salads, subs.

Dietary restrictions: I personally am a pollotarian and only eat poultry. My family however loves bbq ribs, so we’re all happy.

Parking: Parking spots right in front of the door and across a 6 store plaza parking lot.

Kid-friendliness: The staff loves kids and I’ve seen one give a little kid some quarters for the vending machine.“
