The service is much better than average, with a wait staff who know what they're doing. The atmosphere could be better, but it's generally reasonably quiet with adult customers. “A great American Diner experience. The setting is comfortable and service attentive as well as friendly. Solid breakfasts, sandwiches, salads, and dinner choices. I had the meatloaf, good portions, and paid an extra buck for the French Onion Soup topped with toasty cheese. A steak house couldn't do much better. Check the hours when you plan to go, they're variable depending on the day.“

“Good first time visit. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was really nice inside and had more of a restaurant vibe instead of a Bar so that was really nice. French Dip had a really good flavor and the BBQ Bacon Cheese Burger was cooked perfectly and was still juicy even though i said well done. The bun on the bugets and french dip held together nicely. Ribs where really flavorful and tender pulled the rib meet off with a fork. Pretzel bites and the deep fried cheese chunks where surprisingly good as where the nachos. Only complaint is the chicken we got was very dry and salad had only lettuce in it but besides it was a really nice first visit. Almost forgot get the homemade chips over the fries they are really tasty.“

“The only negative I can say is this place used to have a Veteran discount. When they received a new POS or point of sale system, they said they could not figure how to add it in again. That was a weak answer. I wish they were honest and would just say, “No, we are not extending the Vet discount any longer.” I don’t feel they have to do it, but the lying was an issue and kept me away for a while. Otherwise, top notch in all other aspects minus honesty. Been going here for years.“

“I had them drain the meat before putting it on the chili mac and it has greatly improved the taste. Before that I would spend a ton of time on the toilet. The same goes for their chili dogs. The buns are not soggy anymore. I have no idea why this just isn't a thing but I feel like a lot of your other customers would benefit if you would do this automatically.“

“I just had them for the first time and it was incredible! Even the mashed potatoes were good, which, in my opinion, can't be said about ordinary takeout. This chicken tastes just like the kind I used to get at a place that closed called, "Woody's Just Chicken." I remember trying to order one day after work only to find that they closed permanently and I was really sad. Anyways, whether or not these are the same people, the food here is incredible. “This place is fantastic! The ambiance is great, location is contemporary and service is amazing! Visited this location twice and they did not disappoint! The food is delicious (try The Jammer burger) and the drinks are sooo good. We did finish our dinners both visits with the cheesecake! Hands down some of the best I have ever had. We will be back!“

“We visited on a Monday in mid-April 2025 for lunch.

This was a typical zoo restaurant. It's a grab and go. There are prepared foods on the side, both hot and cold. There are customizable stuff behind the counter and made to order. Expect it to be overpriced.

The loaded mac and cheese wasn't bad. The young lady behind the counter was making it for us when an older man (who I assume to be a manager) walked by and told her she was putting TOO much toppings in the mac and cheese so she stopped mid scoop with the bacon.

We got chicken tenders and fries which were both fine. We also got the prepared cobb salad. The lettuce on top looked fine but once we opened it and dug deeper, the lettuce were the harder and thicker stalks and more discolored. We still ate it because we were hungry but it did not look super fresh or maybe the salad sat too long in the back before packing it.

We also got the chocolate pudding and the jello. We all agreed the gummy worms in the chocolate pudding had a weird taste and off putting. The texture was also strange and unfortunately a lot of the flavor had leached into the pudding. The jello however was fine and those gummies were normal.

Condiments you grab on your own, self serve.

Cashier was nice and asked if we had membership, which we did and gave us the additional discount. It's nice when they ask because I forget sometimes with all the craziness going on.

The restaurant it self wasn't packed but there were 4 or 5 other groups in there with us. The place also was very clean and new looking. Not sure when this placed opened or renovated but it was very clean and modern. There are no tables to eat inside so we went outside to find a seat. There were no tables in the Kid's play place or neighborhood area so we walked around to where the hippo statues were to eat.

Even though the zoo website says no outside food, we were never searched and I swear almost EVERYONE we saw at the picnic tables had brought food in. Maybe it was locals who knew vs tourist. You can always leave and eat food in your car but it's just so inconvenient.“

“I went on a Wednesday, they had music trivia, Name That Tune going. It was so much fun! The food was great! I had the Paddy Pattie and fries. The sandwich was grilled nicely, the burger patty was perfectly medium, and the fries were well seasoned and cooked just right. I will definitely be back!“

“I must say that I love our Big Boy sandwiches at the Maureen, ohio location. In Ohio, we have tartar sauce on our Big boys and they are so good! If you go to a Big boy in Michigan be warned, it won't be the same, because they don't use tartar sauce and it's not even close to as good as our Big boy. I'd eat Big boy burgers every day if I could!“

“Longhorn is my youngest sons favorite restaurant he absolutely loves the bread. Longhorn always makes sure he gets plenty of it. I like all the steaks except the ribeye it is cut way to thin and the cook is seldom right. But if you like a well done steak with great flavor the ribeye might just be for you? I like my steaks rare-meduim rare. The chocolate stampede is amazing that cake is so soft and moist it is a nice indulgence.“
