“My wife and I had dinner at Benchmark for my 80th birthday last night. It was wonderful! Our waiter, Josh, was professional and friendly. The food, lobster tail and 8 oz filet, asparagus side, was cooked just right and superb. We got a free Dubai chocolate tiramisu for dessert, which was delectable. Benchmark has generally been consistently good, with great service, and this was no exception.“

My better half had their Battered fish and chips... looked good and we'll presented. She didn't offer me a mouthful to try... so that speaks volumes. I opted for the Chicken Marsala... very well cooked... tender and we'll plated... sauce was tasty and plenty of it. Good sized portions and roughly $55 per each of us... that included a bottle of wine a beer and a whisky... a double shot. I'd go back... and if you haven't been, then go.“

“We had a birthday party here with about 30 people. Kim was so helpful and kind with the planning process. On the actually night, all our guests had delicious meals with fast service. Our waitresses were efficient and friendly the whole time. All the food is amazing. I've never had a bad meal here. This has become one of my favorite places to eat downtown. “A great American Diner experience. The setting is comfortable and service attentive as well as friendly. Solid breakfasts, sandwiches, salads, and dinner choices. I had the meatloaf, good portions, and paid an extra buck for the French Onion Soup topped with toasty cheese. A steak house couldn't do much better. Check the hours when you plan to go, they're variable depending on the day.“

“I've been scouring NW Ohio for the best meatloaf and I have finally found it!! The meatloaf is buttery tender, juicy, full of flavor, the crispy onions on the top really complimented the flavor. Mashed was perfect. The bread pudding... oh my garsh... the BEST ever!! (This was a to go order)

“Eclectic decor in a super cool old building that was the first building in Downtown Toledo to be wired for electricity! Wow we sent our compliments to the chef, everything was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. They have won awards for their original cocktails and the bartender did not disappoint. Excellent waitress who deserved every penny of her tip. We will be back!“

“Jefferson Express is a great place to eat breakfast it’s located in Toledo, Ohio. The food is very good, the service is great and the atmosphere is nice and friendly. My hat off to the cook. The owner’s and waitress are very friendly and welcoming. If you are ever in town. I do recommend to try it out, please don’t let the outside of the place stop you from going inside to get a great meal. Once you are on the inside you will forget about the outside because the food is delicious and you don’t want to miss out on a great meal.“

“Chef Erika Rapp never disappoints and every visit to this wonderful restaurant reaffirms it as my favorite place for our Anniversary dinner. I look forward to the coconut, chorizo and sweet potato steamed muscles that she has had on the fall menu consistently for the last 5 years. And being Gluten Free the care Chef Erika takes to offer many delicious options, means I can always find the perfect meal. Last night the fish dish was perfection, from the perfectly cooked cod, to the savory and slightly sweet delicata squash puree to the textural elements of the crisp broccolini and the crunch of the pomagranate and pepitas. And the dish paired wonderfully with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc. After enjoying a basket of gluten free pop-overs (another favorite treat) and appetizers I was stuffed, but the dish was too delicious to leave even one bite on the plate. Our server Miranda was fabulous. Attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and added so much to our dining experience. I highly reccommend.“

“Stopped in for lunch and sat at the outside bar. It is a nice setup, but the chairs are a bit uncomfortable for me, but were fine for my friend. I tried the Cameo pizza (pepperoni, sausage, green pepper, onion, and mushroom) and it was outstanding. All of the veggies were very fresh. My Friend had their stuffed shells and enjoyed it. It is served with a breadstick as well. Give the Village in a shot and you can't go wrong with a Cameo pizza (originated in Sandusky, oh).“

“I had them drain the meat before putting it on the chili mac and it has greatly improved the taste. Before that I would spend a ton of time on the toilet. The same goes for their chili dogs. The buns are not soggy anymore. I have no idea why this just isn't a thing but I feel like a lot of your other customers would benefit if you would do this automatically.“

“Visited 8/18/26 and It has been about 15 years ago since I have been here. They use to have roasted garlic for the bread which I was excited but found that no longer do that. Please put that back in the menu! I had the bone in filet with butter bone maro crusted with parley potato's and French Onion soup! Shared shrimp cocktail. Had two Barrel aged Manhattans, house merlot with the steak and finished with a shared chocolate bag and an Elmer T Lee bourbon! I wanted to lick the bowls and plates! It was sooo good! I will not wait another 15 years before I return! Please consider bringing back the roasted garlic!“
