“This is not a high end establishment. The chair leather is cracked, the room is warmer than you might like and there are no guidelines for how a new person navigates their experience - aka we showed up, no one greeted us and we sat ourselves. That being said - 5 minutes of looking at the menu that was on the table a lovely young lady showed up to take our order. She was helpful and friendly and we felt much more at ease. The food was amazing....like REALLY amazing...and the food runner was also lovely and friendly. When we were done, we asked for boxes and the check and everyone was just fantastic. -- For anyone looking for that 'Secret Gem'...this is the place. We will be back.“

“What a great experience! The building was beautiful, it’s huge but still feels very private. Ordering at different bars is kinda weird, I’d love for them to use a kiosk system or something but also wasn’t a big enough turn off to change my mind on coming here in the future. Service was quick and friendly, and everything was really yummy. We had two boards, and the roasted olives and several varieties of beer since my husband kept ordering me the “surprise me” beer and let the bartender pick. The kids brought card games and played quietly while the adults conversed and caught up… and we had about 100 dollars of food and 100 dollars of beer and I don’t regret the spurge. We were there around 2 hours.“

“Ok so we’ve dined at Old Scratch Troy location about 6 times since it’s opened. Waited a bit to give them time to really get in their groove. While I do recommend the place. Pizza is good, staff is nice (especially Amanda at the bar) and shareables are tasty. That said I would like to see the food’s taste be a little more consistent. My favorite dish is the fire roasted cauliflower but sadly it hasn’t been prepared the same way twice with the last two times it was barely seasoned at all once it was almost raw. Hopefully as training continues they will fix that issue.“

“We had a couple of drinks with onion rings and a 12 inch cheese pizza. Bartender was excellent, I thought the onion rings were greasy but my hubby loved them. Pizza was good tasting. It’s a cool light type home town bar, my favorite kind. I will be back.“

Their thin-crust pizza is legendary—perfectly crispy, loaded with high-quality toppings, and the sauce has the best flavor. We also ordered their wings, which were cooked to absolute perfection and tossed in a fantastic sauce. The menu has a great variety of classic tavern food, and everything comes out hot and fresh. “Very interesting place. The fire truck backdrop to the bar kinda sets the tone. Tables and seating are nicely laid out. Good menu... lots to choose from. Waitstaff very attentive. Meals were plentiful and tasty. All four folks in our group were quite pleased. The crowning touch was probably the infectious laughter coming from a lady 🤣 at a table on the other side of the room. Turns out she is the owner of the place, and well liked by all the waitstaff around us. Always a good sign to have a good time.“
